🌟 Hand Foot and Mouth Disease Awareness 🌟

When I got home the other day, I noticed some red spots on Rowan's legs, I thought they were just insect bites, but the following day it was all over her legs, from the sole to the lower back, they became visible that they look liked blisters, she had also on her hands, I suspected it was something. My nephew also had the same blisters and they had him checked into a pedia because he got the symptoms earlier than Rowan, and the doctor confirmed it was Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease.
I didn't brought Rowan to her pedia because I knew for a fact that HFMD is contagious.
They had the same symptoms so my daughter also had HFMD 😢

👉 What is HFMD?

HFMD is caused by various viruses, most commonly the Coxsackievirus. It spreads through close contact with an infected person's bodily fluids, like saliva or nasal secretions, or by touching contaminated surfaces.

👉 Signs and Symptoms:

Fever
Painful sores on the hands, feet, and mouth
Rash on the buttocks, knees, elbows, or ge****ls
Sore throat
Loss of appetite

👉 Prevention is Key:

Wash hands thoroughly and frequently, especially before meals and after using the bathroom.
Avoid close contact with infected individuals.
Keep surfaces clean and disinfected.
Encourage children to cover their mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing.
