In systems that settle for silence instead of peace, death resolves dispute — wielding violence to enforce with fear.
Denied where journalism operates under looming threat, the facade of order is disrupt when the press insists on proof to kill what lives in secrecy.
The free press' oppression cannot be justified to maintain the absence of hostility. This World Press Freedom Day, to assert on the liberation of journalistic practice is to dismantle unreliable narratives that speak of peace, yet function on control.
Our resolve will remain unshattered in pursuit of truth and civic justice. In duty to materialize informed judgement, we persist, toward peace beyond promise.
