I so love this dance because it was one of the easiest routines to memorize… but I think this dance doesn’t love me back! 😩😂
I was super excited to perform this number… except that …
First, the veil I ordered for the dance turned out to be disappointing. After just one wash, it got stained. So I ended up using my old veil instead. It really needed to be shortened, but I got too busy (and a little lazy 😁), so I used it as is.
Second, I missed the blocking practice and didn’t know there had been some changes. The result? I spent a good portion of the dance hidden behind a dancer 😔😁
Third, because I used the old long veil, I already knew there was a high chance I would step on it during the parts where the veil had to be lowered. I had done it several times in practice… and of course, I did it again during the actual performance. 🤨😂
And fourth, to complete the series of unfortunate events, my phone battery died while recording, so only half of the performance was captured. 😩🤣
But despite all the little mishaps, the experience was still worth it. Sometimes things don’t go according to plan, and that’s perfectly okay. 🥰
We show up, do our best, laugh at our mistakes, and keep dancing anyway. 💃
