For AKF, the color RED stands for passion, intensity, and purpose.
But for pet parents and fur families in San Miguel, Iloilo; Catarman, Camiguin; and Legazpi, Albay, BLUE became the color of grief.

Beside food trays tainted with a BLUE substance, communities woke last April 29, 2026 to streets and homes filled with beloved pets and strays convulsing in pain, some already lifeless.

We call on our local leaders to champion humane and sustainable solutions centered on Responsible Pet Parenting, Anti-Rabies Vaccination, and Spay-and-Neuter initiatives.

To the affected families: the AKF team mourns with you.
We cried as you cried, holding your seizing companions.
We feel your horror. Your anger. Your demand for justice.
Mass poisoning is NOT a solution.
