Dad was always strong, a rock for our family. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, but never let on how heavy it was. He'd say he was fine, even when his heart was aching. He was always there for us, making sure we were okay, but who was there for him?
He was our protector, our provider, our silent advisor. He always had a solution, always knew what to do. But sometimes, I think he just needed a hug, a simple "How are you, Dad?"
He might have felt lonely, tired, even scared. But he never showed it. He kept his own struggles hidden, his love for us a quiet, unwavering force.
Now that he's gone, I realize how much I took his strength for granted. I wish I had told him how much I loved him, how much I appreciated him. I wish I had just listened, really listened, to the man who always listened to me.
This is for all the dads out there, the silent heroes, the ones who carry the weight of the world without complaint. Tell them you love them. Tell them you appreciate them. Don't wait until it's too late.
Tag and share this with you father or father-figure and show them your appreciation 💕
