2ND SONA OF PBBM, GENERALLY PEACEFUL AND ORDERLY
The 2nd State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. was generally peaceful and orderly.
The PNP Command Center at the National Headquarters kept tab of all public engagements and activities nationwide related to the SONA and monitored no serious untoward incident in the vicinity of the Batasan Pambansa Complex in Quezon City as well as in other locations in Metro Manila and key cities across the country where mass actions and public assemblies were held by some groups, including some protesting members of a transport group that are holding a 72-hour stoppage of their franchised transportation service.
Appropriate number of police personnel were on duty to provide security and police assistance in all areas of engagement and strictly observed the maximum tolerance policy despite some uncalled-for actions by rallyists like burning of effigies, and illegal assemblies that obstructed traffic.
No arrests were made in all these engagements but violators of the law will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
The PNP is thankful to all allied agencies and stakeholders for their support, the success of the SONA is not possible without their cooperation and collaboration.
The PNP likewise congratulates all the PNP personnel who were deployed during this event. The successful ex*****on of such a crucial task reflects not only the exceptional skills but also the strong bond of camaraderie that exists within the PNP.

“Ipinapaabot ko ang aking pagbati at pasasalamat sa lahat ng ating kapulisan sa buong bansa kasama na rin ang ibat-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno gaya ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, Joint Task Force-National Capital Region, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, OCD/Red Cross, Department of Health, Philippine Coast Guard, Presidential Security Group, Metro Manila Development Authority, Department of Public Works And Highways, different Local Government Units, Force Multipliers gayundin ang iba pang pribadong sektor na nakipagtulungan upang ipatupad ang seguridad para sa kakatapos na ikalawang SONA ng ating Pangulong Ferdinand R Marcos Jr.
Overall, we can say that the early preparations and coordination made this event a successful one.
“Once again, my congratulations to all deployed personnel for a job well done, and my heartfelt thanks to all other agencies who helped in the maintenance of peace and order. Together, let us build a safer and more secure nation for all” CPNP Acorda added.
