2 Timothy 3:16 (NASB) - All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness.

God’s Word is more than just a book—it is living truth that shapes our hearts, directs our steps, and equips us for every season of life. Through Scripture, we are gently corrected when we stray, encouraged when we are weary, and taught how to walk in God’s ways. It reminds us that we are never left without guidance, for the Lord has lovingly provided His Word to strengthen us, prepare us, and lead us closer to Him each day.

Friends, let us lift Cebu in prayer, trusting God for His protection, strength, and healing for our beloved city. 🤍

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

Pray for the Philippines! 🙏

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck Cebu Tuesday night, leaving at least 26 dead and 147 injured, with heavy damage in Bogo City and nearby towns. Relief operations are ongoing as San Remigio declares a state of calamity. Please pray for God’s comfort and provision for affected families, strength for responders, and protection for our team in Cebu as UP987 DYFR-FM continues to broadcast hope in Christ.

Taal Volcano also erupted briefly early Wednesday, though Alert Level 1 remains. PHIVOLCS clarified that this activity is unrelated to the earthquake in Cebu. Authorities warned of possible sudden explosions and toxic gas emissions.

PAGASA forecasts scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Aurora, and Quezon. A low-pressure area east of Luzon, which may develop into Tropical Depression Paolo, is being monitored but has no direct effect yet.

Pray for God’s mercy over the nation, that He may grant protection, strength, and hope to all affected communities, and guide the country through these trials with His peace.

Psalm 32:8 (NIV) - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

God Himself is the greatest Teacher, guiding us with love and care. Earthly teachers reflect a glimpse of that guidance when they counsel, encourage, and lead their students. As we honor our teachers, let us also look to the Lord for direction, trusting that His teaching never fails and His love always watches over us.

Happy National Teachers’ Month!

As declared in DepEd Memorandum No. 067, s. 2025, National Teachers’ Month is celebrated from September 5 to October 5, 2025, with October 5 observed as both National Teachers’ Day and World Teachers’ Day.

“Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.” — Luke 6:40 (NLT)

Teachers leave a lasting impact on the lives of their students. Just as Jesus trained His disciples to become more like Him, teachers help shape the character, wisdom, and knowledge of those they guide.

This month, we honor and celebrate all teachers who reflect Christ’s example by patiently molding hearts and minds. To every teacher: thank you for your sacrifice, your passion, and your faith in each student’s potential. You are shaping not only today but also tomorrow and generations to come.

Let us lift up in prayer those affected by Severe Tropical Storm Opong ( )—for safety, strength for first responders, and God’s comfort and provision for families facing the storm.

Just days after the devastation of Super Typhoon ( ) in Luzon, Opong made landfall in Eastern Samar and is now crossing Masbate, Romblon, and Mindoro. Heavy rains, strong winds, and flooding continue in Bicol, Samar, Northern & Eastern Visayas, CALABARZON, and Southern Luzon, with Signal Nos. 1–3 raised in many areas, including Metro Manila.

PAGASA warns of possible flooding, landslides, and rough seas. Please stay alert and follow local authorities’ advisories.

Let us take refuge in the Lord our God, for He is our shelter amidst every storm we will ever face.

Psalm 8:3-4 (ESV) - 3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

When we look at the night sky filled with stars or stand before the vastness of creation, we are reminded of how small we are compared to God’s greatness. Yet the wonder of the gospel is that the God who shaped the heavens cares deeply for us. He knows us by name, loves us through Christ, and calls us His own. This truth fills our hearts with gratitude and awe, making every glimpse of creation a reminder of His amazing grace.
