Running from April 28 to May 7, 2025 at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines - Cagayan de Oro (USTP CdO), a mock election survey was administered to determine the student bodyโs gubernatorial preferences for the approaching midterm elections.
The leading candidate for the gubernatorial bid was previous congresswoman Juliette Uy with 81 votes (76.42%), followed by current governor and re-electionist Peter Unabia having 18 votes (16.98%), and lastly, aspirant Lito Simacon garnering 7 votes (6.60%).
Vying for the provincial vice-governor position, Erik Khu secured 35 votes (43.75%), followed by Jigjag Pelaez with 33 votes (41.25%), and at last, Rey Tata Cagampang gathered 12 votes (15.00%).
Dungog-Tingog: The Trailblazer 2025 National and Local Midterm Elections Preference Survey, spearheaded by The Trailblazer in collaboration with the USTP CdO Electoral Commission, aims to highlight the democratic voice of the student body.
