FR. RUFINO CORONEL SESCON JR., the newly appointed Bishop of Balanga, will be ordained as bishop on February 25, 2025, at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral) in Intramuros, at 9 in the morning.
Archbishop Socrates Villegas from Lingayen-Dagupan will lead the ceremony, along with Bishop Ruperto Santos from Antipolo and Bishop Emeritus Honesto Ongtioco from Cubao. Archbishop Charles John Brown, the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, will also be there. Cardinal Jose Advincula will deliver the homily.
The ordination will be shown live on the pages of TV Maria, Radio Veritas, the Archdiocesan Office of Communications (AOC), Manila Cathedral, and Quiapo Church.
