Hello all, today is The Dump - CGY's anniversary.
Imagine, we survived a year doing the s**t we don't really know about. But all we know is that, it has to run. This was an idea of a drunkard, agreed by a semi-drunkard, joined by an artist whose friend always supports him in whatever he does. Later, a classmate photographer of the artist and his friend said it was nice to try for no significant reason I think. But since the drunkard and the semi-drunkard has a close friend whose interests are on Muse, Coldplay, Rage Against the Machine, and sake, thus coincides with theirs, it was a go. This close friend has a close friend too, who is a wanderer and follows her own whim, finally decides to give it a try.
I know, bad combination of sorts.
We ran for a year like this with problems and problems and problems. We fight during 'press work', we argue where to get financial help, and we become friends again when gigs and distribution of copies become successful...or not. There are times when bands would thank us and label us as a 'productions', in which we never thought of that at all. I think that is because we are at this age that we are still trying to figure out what is really our function and how should we go about it.
Nonetheless, we continue [and will continue] what we love to do. We write, we sing, we make music, we take photos, we draw, we drink beer, and that is how we picture ourselves in the years to come. Big props to those friends who are always there to support, acknowledge and give time to our requests - endless list of names of these peeps. I know how perplexing we are sometimes.
Rest-assured we are working on something beneficial and will become significant in the art industry soon. See you around the block, Kagay-anons. Cheers!
PS: Pero one year na gyud mi. Yawa-a!
