Today, we commemorate the 126th anniversary of Philippine Independence — a day that reminds us of the courage, unity, and sacrifice of those who came before us. As we reflect on the meaning of freedom, let us also renew our commitment to building a nation that upholds justice, peace, and dignity for every Filipino.

As volunteers of USWAG Mindanao, we believe that true independence is not just political, but also social and economic. It means empowering communities, uplifting the marginalized, and standing together in the face of adversity. It means working for a Mindanao — and a Philippines — where every voice is heard, and no one is left behind.

On this important day, may we all be inspired to serve selflessly, lead with integrity, and move forward united in our shared hope for a brighter, more inclusive future.
