There are moments when words are not enough to console a hurting soul, soothe an aching heart, or reassure a doubting mind. Sometimes, to prove one's devotion, it requires offering tangible sacrificesโ€”even those that seem almost impossible. But the word 'impossible' does not exist when it comes to loving people unconditionally.

When all else fails, I will be the anchor they needโ€”feet held to the ground, calm and steady. I would deconstruct every piece of myself to become their sanctuary. This is how I would map my being to theirs, piece by piece and sense by sense.

I will let the one who cannot see their own worth borrow my eyes, so they might finally know how these pair of mine see the sunshine within them.

I promise to let the one who thinks they are hard to love borrow my heart so they might feel the pulse of my unconditional love for them.

When their mind is in turmoil, I would swap mine for theirs to let them experience the ease and stillness I find by simply being with them.

When the road grows long, and they are too weary to go on, I will let them borrow my feet to take more steps ahead.

I will let them borrow a part of me, if it means sharing the beauty of the world with them once more. With every ounce of my strength, I will help them unlearn the lies they tell themselves. I will let them realize that the world is not the same without themโ€”because they are the essential elements that complete it.

Until they can see the light through their own eyes again, and until their own heart beats with the rhythm of worthiness, I will be their keeper. For as long as they are lost, a part of me will always be theirs to hold, until they find their way back.

๐‹๐ˆ๐“๐„๐‘๐€๐‘๐˜ | Where Valor Meets The Sky

Upon the heights where marble meets the sky,
The Great Cross stands to touch the morning sun,
A silent witness to the souls whoโ€™d die
Before the threads of brotherhood were spun.

Not blood of kin, but blood of varied race,
Flowed down these slopes in rivers deep and wide,
As strangers met within this hallowed space
To stand as one against the rising tide.

Though flags may differ, valor has no hue;
The bond of comrades broke the chains of fear.
In every stone, the spirit blooms anewโ€”
A strength born from the hearts we honor here.

On April 9, 1942, around 76,000 Filipino and American soldiers (USAFFE) bravely fought for 93 days against Japanese forces, embodying supreme valor and sacrifice.

Their heroic stand slowed the Japanese advance, giving Allied forces valuable time to prepare. This ultimately led to the Bataan Death March and a legacy that is honored on Araw ng Kagitingan.

As we commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of our Filipino heroes, who gave their lives in exchange for our freedom, may this day remind us to honor our ancestors who fought with courage and patriotism

With a heart full of hope, read a penned short letter for this Easter Sunday as we look toward a future with renewed spirits with our Risen Lord.
--------------------------------------------------

๐‹๐ˆ๐“๐„๐‘๐€๐‘๐˜ | Dear Lourdesians: A Letter on How We Rebuilt Our Hearts This Lent

Itโ€™s finally Easter, and for the first time in a long while, it feels like we can breathe again.

Iโ€™m writing this because I know that for many of us, the road to this Sunday wasn't paved with easy prayers. Letโ€™s be honest: 2026 has tested us in ways we didn't see coming. Weโ€™ve faced challenges that felt like heavy stones rolled in front of our own personal tombsโ€”moments of doubt, digital fatigue, and the weight of trying to be "excellent" when we felt anything but. We have walked through a season of harrowing, losing little pieces of our comfort to the demands of our faith and our lives.

But look at us now. There is a specific kind of nostalgia in the way we gather today in our own homes and in our churchesโ€”a reminder of the years behind us and the strength weโ€™ve been holding on. This season of renewal taught us that our hearts are more secure than we thought and our spirits more determined than we gave them credit for.

Today is a relief for us and for God. A shared exhale for new beginnings. It is the proof that no matter how dark the Friday or how silent the Saturday, the morning always comes. Like the sun over the horizon, His presence has remained perpetual in our hallways, our classrooms, and our homes.

- Matthew 28:6

On the third day, He rose again. Between the death and resurrection of the Lamb of God, eternal life in heaven for the faithful is now possible. After waiting patiently in the sorrowful silence of His death, we reflect and mourn in the deepest parts of our hearts, only to now rejoice in His victory.

For His sacrifices and love for us, we are saved. Between the death and resurrection the gift of eternal life in heaven for the one who believes in Him. His victory is our victory. Let us live it out every day through the power of hope, the reach of our love, and the depth of our faith!

Happy Easter Sunday, Lourdesian! ๐Ÿฉต

This Sabado de Gloria or Black Saturday, read a special poem on the Divine Eternity of the first and last as we wait in the liminal space between the Cross and the Resurrection. We journey toward Easter with the assurance that the Omega of our grief is not a dead end, but a transition into a new Alpha, where our spirits are renewed and our purpose is reclaimed.
-------------------------------

๐‹๐ˆ๐“๐„๐‘๐€๐‘๐˜ | He is our Dawn, our Dusk

The Alpha and Omega, the breath and the bone,
The first seed planted, the last harvest grown.
Like the sun over the horizon, His presence is perpetual,
A love that is constant, divine, and effectual.

He is a cycle, the start and the cease,
From the amber of dusk to the morning's release.
For nothing is final, no fate set in stone,
Save the grace and the mercy He grants from His throne.

In the wreckage of yesterday, new dawns arise,
With the light of renewal held deep in our eyes.
Each first ray of gold is a threshold to begin,
To glorify Him and be cleansed from within.

We are but travelers in the pull of His tide,
Where the rising and setting in one heart reside.
Though the world is in flux and the shadows may bend,
He is our beginning, our path, and our end.

The weight of Good Friday lies in the harrowing realization that love, at its most profound, is inseparable from the act of being broken. Today is a profound remembrance of what we are willing to lose for the sake of love. But why?

Every day, our sacrifices manifest in a thousand unrecorded forms, each a manifestation to a love that is as all-consuming as it is pervasive. We move through life constantly choosing what to let go of, proving that being human is an exercise in this beautiful, painful exchange. We sacrifice because love, in its most powerful state, is the only force capable of driving true compassion and humanity. As humans, to lose is to loveโ€”to understand that we are never more human than when we are willing to be incomplete, if only to ensure that the world around us remains held together.

In the remembrance of sacrifice, this Good Friday is a time of reflection on the depth of love and the cost of trust. As Lourdesians, we should be compassionate even in suffering and be driven with purpose and peace.

We once again commemorate the weight of sacrifice Jesus Christ carried to inspire faith, justice, humanity, and most of love: love for us. His sacrifice for our salvation is the reason we are granted the grace to begin anew and the strength to carry our own crosses with faith.
