SO WHY IS IT COLD ?
The answer is AMIHAN!

Amihan is still being experienced in the Philippines right now. It is the northeast monsoon currently affecting much of the country with cooler, dry air, light rains and breezes from the northeast. Weather reports right now show ongoing impacts from Amihan combined with shear lines and other systems causing cloudy skies and some showers across various regions.

The Amihan is actively influencing the weather in Luzon, Visayas, and parts of Mindanao — bringing cooler temperatures and some light rains in places.

Reports note cooler weather and occasional showers continuing across many areas because of the northeast monsoon.

Amihan typically runs from around October through March, and we’re right in that period — so it’s still very much present.

So if you’re feeling those cool breezes, cloudy skies, or light rain showers here in the Philippines these days, that’s Amihan doing its thing! 🌬️🌦️
