Analog Risograph Class:
A Zine-Making Workshop by Fiery Daisy & Bad Student

About the Workshop:
This workshop will cover the basics of Risograph printing & zine making. Participants will learn how to make a 2-color Risograph print using collage and mark making techniques. Each participant will get a chance to print their own work on a Riso Machine and take home 5 copies of their artwork.

This workshop is open to all ages and is perfect for absolute beginners.

About the Instructor:
Visual Artist Brisa Amir aka , the creator of portals collage kit, a shape-driven art project exploring collage as energy shapes, combining mark-making and urban textures. Started in 2021, she archives urban gate designs in her neighborhood and its vicinity in the Philippines— developing those into shapes. While collecting, she released a collage kit named ᑭOᖇTᗩᒪᔕ, making the users transform it freely into wild growth, spiritual portals, and personal transformation. In her workshops, Brisa encourages participants to combine their own art styles - blending drawing, text, images, and patterns in a way that feels natural and intuitive. 🪴

Her Portal Collage Kits have been featured at the Intersections Art Summit in Bangkok Thailand (under Everything’s Fine PH & Kalawakan Space Time), Fukuoka Art Book Fair in Japan, Sunnyside Arts Pop-up in New York, and SAMASAMA Market held at Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art, Washington D.C. (under Bad Student Press.)

Workshop Fee:
P2500 (Student Rate)
P3000 (Regular Rate)

“Buhay-Patay-Buhay”, 2020

“Buhay - Patay - Buhay” (Life - Death - Life) is inspired by the agimat and the anting-anting, a Filipino system of sorcery and the arcane with special use of charms and talismans. It plays on the idea of reincarnation, where it refers to the belief that an aspect of all living beings continue to exist after death. Filipinos believe that when you have agimat, you will be protected from harm and evil.
