- How long have you been married? 26 years
- How has the long absence from your family affected you? At first, i wasn’t able to cope up however seeing things in a different perspective made me feel my job is a calling not a career, it sustains and provides for our future
- What are the advantages for a family when you are at sea? Sustainability and Peace on expenses, ability to live chosen lifestyle
- What are the disadvantages of a family when you are at sea? Lack of help and support physically and emotionally though with the help of social media, it can be alleviated
- As a seafarer how can you care for your family? Constant communication, extending help and support emotionally and spiritually
- How do you communicate with your family effectively? Almost daily with Voice and Video Calls with agenda
- Do you consider stop sailing to have more family time? Yes
- When you have the chance to start all over again, would you choose to be a seafarer?
Perhaps yes, it makes me unique and of great value
- Do you have any goals for your family? Of course, to be used by God in such a meaningful way
- What are your future plans for your family? Do missionary works local and abroad
- Where do you find help, encouragement, inspiration to keep on going? Wife, children and love ones
- Any final remarks from your side? “Doing what you love is the best thing in life, it gives you the sense of purpose and obedience to God.” RDV
