K-Pop Demon Hunters Bootleg minifigs - FAILED!!!
As a LEGO fan, and after finally getting our hands on the Arcane minifigs, naturally napasobra ang curiosity namin. So balik kami sa app store, scrolling ulit, hunting for other interesting minifigs. That’s when we stumbled upon something unexpected — K-Pop Demon Hunters minifigs. Bootleg, of course. Same ecosystem. Same promise. Different outcome.
At first, excitement kicked in. K-Pop x Demon Hunter concept? Sounds wild, stylized, and visually strong. We placed the order… and then reality hit us. On the day of delivery, biglang cancelled by the store. No warning. No explanation. Kamote move agad. So we searched again, found the same set from another seller, reordered,. And waited some more.
When it finally arrived, Masaya ang mga Bata! promis
Detail-wise, unang tingin pa lang, kita mo na may effort. The character designs are there. The outfits, the silhouettes, the idea — present. You can tell the designers tried. But bes… ex*****on is a different story.
Let’s start with the most painful part: the hairpiece. Hinawakan pa lang — snap. Naputol agad. As in wala pang intense movement, wala pang posing, wala pang photography setup. Literal na hawak lang. Kamote moment number two. The top part of the hair wasn’t even smooth — rough edges, bako-bako, parang minadali sa mold cleaning. Garapal ang finishing. Mapapahiya ka talaga pag tinabi mo siya sa maayos na custom minifig.
Then there’s the paint job. This one hurt. The face prints and body paint were not clean. 😅
Material-wise, mukhang ABS plastic, pero the finish is matte — and not the good kind. The colors are noticeably darker, less saturated, and medyo dull. Yung dating na dapat bold and vibrant (especially since K-Pop-inspired characters usually pop with color), naging muted at lifeless. Hindi siya madaling i-light sa photos, and sa shelf display, nawawala yung “wow” factor.
Assembly tolerances? Meh. Some joints feel stiff, others feel loose. Not consistent. Definitely not something you’d want to play with repeatedly. This is display-only territory — at that, with caution.
So what’s the verdict?
This is one of those bootleg experiences where concept beats ex*****on. Maganda sa listing. Maganda sa idea. Pero sa actual, kulang sa quality control. Compared to the Arcane minifigs we previously got, this felt like a step backwards — same bootleg category, pero hindi same level of care.
If you’re a hardcore collector who enjoys bootleg curiosities, this might still have value as a reference piece or novelty item. But if you’re after clean builds, solid materials, and polished finishes — this one will test your patience.
Lesson learned, not all bootlegs are created equal. Some surprise you in a good way. Others remind you why they’re cheap — and why checking reviews, photos, and seller reputation is everything.
Would I recommend it?
Honestly — only if you’re fully aware of what you’re getting into. Otherwise, save your budget for better customs or wait for something with more love put into it.
