Half of 2025 has passed. I realize I haven't been posting as much as I wanted to. And I want to change that. So now, I'm using this space to ramble on (LOL) about things that for me are, well, a hit or miss.

First up: KPOP DEMON HUNTERS

It's a: HIT

Stars (out of 5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First off, it's labeled as "Kids" by Netflix, so don't expect a complicated storyline.

Was attracted to it because of the songs. If you're a 2nd or 3rd gen Kpop fan, the music will amaze you. Soda Pop, which is making rounds as a dance challenge, is catchy. Free and Golden are top-tier.

While it doesn't have a complicated storyline, I felt that the characters needed more fleshing out. I wanted more info on Rumi's parents and Jinu's intention behind his actions towards Rumi. I wanted a bit more from Mira and Zoey, and most especially Celine (she let me down towards the end). Somehow, the relationships between the characters didn't go deep, even with the Huntrix girls although the friendship has been implied from the beginning.

Could have been a mini-series, perhaps? Just to stitch everything neatly.

Still, it was entertaining and the music is lit. Would recommend. 👍

Grabbed a meal at in Luckygold Plaza (after accompanying hubby to the doctor). Got the Beef Samgyeop Rice Bowl (₱109, I think? I forgot 😅) that had beef slices, rice, kimchi, and lettuce, plus choice of sauce (I had ssamjang).

Personally, I liked it. Not the “pang-laman tyan lang” type, if you know what I mean. Quite filling (or maybe I just have a small tummy). While the beef was a bit salty, the sweetness of the ssamjang gave the needed balance. And it had loads of rice. Might order this again next time, or choose pork or chicken instead. But for sure I’ll be asking for extra kimchi. Nabitin ako doon. 😁

Bunso had so much fun at the Cheez Whiz Strong Kid Camp today! Lots of challenging yet fun activities that helped build her strength and confidence.

She enjoyed the Z-Wall that tested her upper body and grip strength, and the A-Frame that not only tested her body control and coordination but also helped her conquer her fear of heights. 👍

(Plus, she made a friend, too! 🥰)

Along with exercise, proper nutrition is needed to support her active play. And that’s why we always have Cheez Whiz at home — rich in Calcium, Vitamin A and D, and Phosphorus that help build strong bones. Because as parents, we want to give our kids the strength to do more!
