Every September, Bicolanos unite in faith, love, and devotion to Ina, Our Lady of Peñafrancia. From the solemn Traslacion to the grand fluvial procession, the festival is not only a celebration of culture and tradition but also a living testament of our deep faith in God through the intercession of our Blessed Mother. 💛🙏

Let us continue to honor Ina with grateful hearts, entrusting to her our prayers, hopes, and dreams. May the Peñafrancia Festival remind us that faith, unity, and love always bring us closer to God.

Today, we take our seats not with fear, but with faith. 🙏 We carry with us the lessons we’ve studied, the wisdom we’ve gained, and the prayers of those who believe in us. Through the intercession of St. Dominic, patron of truth and learning, may our minds be sharp, our memories strong, and our hearts at peace. Let every answer we write be offered to God as an act of gratitude for the gift of knowledge.

Like St. Dominic, may we seek truth with humility, speak with wisdom, and live with love. And if challenges come, may we remember that our value is far greater than any score—that our true measure is found in our faith, our kindness, and our perseverance. Whatever today’s results bring, may it lead us closer to the bright future God has lovingly prepared for us. 💙

In a world where it’s easy to be quick, sharp, or indifferent, God calls us to slow down and choose love and kindness. Love that is patient when others fall short, and kindness that lifts hearts without expecting anything in return. The Bible reminds us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Eph. 4:32). Every small act of love reflects the heart of Jesus and can change someone’s day—or even their life. Today, let’s make love and kindness not just a moment, but a lifestyle. ❤️

Today we mark the eve of the Solemnity of St. Dominic — the day before the Church joyfully celebrates the life of the great founder of the Order of Preachers.

An eve is not just a moment of waiting — it is a time of prayerful preparation, reflection, and quiet anticipation. Just as the Church keeps vigil before her greatest feasts, we now pause to remember and ready our hearts to honor St. Dominic tomorrow.

In a world longing for truth and light, may St. Dominic’s example guide us: a man of deep prayer, tireless preaching, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel.

"Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul..." – 1 Peter 2:11-12

As followers of Christ, we are called to live differently. Being “aliens and strangers” in this world doesn’t mean we reject or isolate ourselves from others, but that our lives should reflect a higher calling—one shaped by faith, love, humility, and eternal perspective.

Let us strive to live with integrity, in both public and private, trusting that God sees and honors every act done in His name.

Prayer for the First Day
O glorious Saint Dominic, thou who was a model of mortification and purity, by punishing thy innocent body with scourges, with fastings and with watchings, and by keeping inviolate the lily of thy virginity, obtain for us the grace to practice penance with a generous heart and to keep unspotted the purity of our bodies and our hearts. Amen.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” – Psalm 32:8

In moments of uncertainty and confusion, it’s reassuring to remember that God is always present—not just watching from afar but guiding us as a loving counselor.

Whether we’re facing tough decisions or navigating life's twists and turns, God's voice leads us toward a path filled with hope and love. We are never alone, and His wisdom lights the way, even when we can’t see the full picture.

Take comfort in knowing that God’s love will never leave us stranded, and His guidance is always there, especially when we need it the most.
