Pork Pochero Recipe 🌶️

Ingredients:
2 pounds pork belly - cut into cubes
2-3 tablespoons oil
2 ripe saba bananas - each cut into 3 pieces
1 medium carrots - cut into chunks
1 big or 2 medium potatoes - cut into quarters
2 cloves garlic - minced
1 medium onion - chopped
2 medium tomatoes - cut into chunks
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
2-3 cups pork broth - or water
1 cup baguio beans
1 cabbage sliced into 4

Instructions:
Boil pork belly in water until it becomes tender. Separate the meat and broth when ready to cook.

Heat oil in a deep pan or a pot and fry the potatoes, carrots, and bananas until the edges are slightly browned. Remove from oil and transfer to a plate.

In the same oil saute garlic, onion, and tomato until limp.

Add the pork belly cuts and the tomato paste.
Season with fish sauce and ground pepper.

Next, add back the fried potatoes, carrots and banana (saba) and also the baguio beans

Pour in the broth/water and let it simmer to cook the potatoes and carrots and until the broth turns into a thicker sauce.

Lastly, add the cabbage and Cover the pot for 3 minutes to cook the cabbage
Serve and enjoy!

CHICKEN ADOBO SA GATA

INGREDIENTS:
1 kilo Chicken
6 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon pepper
2 to 3 dried bay leaf (dahon ng laurel)
1/2 tbsp. Sugar (optional)
1/2 cup water
1 cup coconut milk
Siling labuyo kung gusto maanghang

PROCEDURE:

1. i-sear or ibrown ang manok hanggang sa magbrown (skin down para magmantika, or maglagay ng kaunting mantika para di dumikit sa kawali). Pag brown na, set aside.

2. Then, igisa ang bawang at sibuyas hanggang bumango ito. Then, ibalik ang nabrown na manok. Lagyan ng paminta, toyo, dahon ng laurel, kaunting as**al (optional) at s**a. Pagkalagay ng s**a, hayaan lang ito ng mga 1 minute para sumingaw ang aroma ng s**a.

3. After a few minutes, maglagay ng kaunting tubig. Haluin saglit. Takpan at lutuin ng mga 15 minutes using medium heat. Haluin in between cooking para pantay ang pagkaluto.

4. After 15 minutes, hinaan ang apoy. Saka ilagay ang gata ng niyog, haluin saglit (wag na tatakpan pagkalagay ng gata). Lutuin hanggang lumapot ang sauce. Pwede rin maglagay ng sili kung gusto ng maanghang.
