IN PHOTOS: Kape Danlayan will soon fill more cups and mugs as its origin facility in Dolores, Quezon begins scaling up with the assistance of the Department of Agriculture - Philippine Rural Development Project Scale-Up.
Following the approval of the Php 104.25-million enterprise subproject for funding, the DA-PRDP Project Support Office South Luzon, the Regional Project Coordination Office CALABARZON, the local government of Dolores, Quezon, and the project proponent Pinagdanlayan Multipurpose Cooperative formally commenced the subprojectβs implementation stage through the signing of a No Objection Letter.
The subproject will introduce high-efficiency and modern equipment in the existing operations of the PMPCβs coffee processing enterprise and fund the construction of a coffee shop in Brgy. Dagatan, Dolores, Quezon. Through these, local coffee farmers are expected to have a sustainable and guaranteed market for their harvests, as the enterprise expands its processing capacity.
βMaging proactive po tayo at magtulungan para mapabilis at mapaganda ang implementasyon ng proyektong ito,β said DA-PRDP PSO South Luzon Deputy Project Director Emerson Yago.
Dolores Mayor Orlan Calayag and PMPC Chairperson Apolonio de Rosales expressed their gratitude to the DA and pledged their continued proactive collaboration with DA-PRDP in implementing the subproject. Beyond meeting its intended targets, they aim for the subproject to transcend generations and continuously benefit the local coffee industry in the years to come.

Redelliza Gruezo.
After the awarding, the DA-PRDP team will begin coaching the cooperative on the procurement activities related to the subproject. The subproject is targeted for completion next year. #
