The '93 Charade has been keeping us busy! 😅

From repairs such as oil pan replacement, to custom fab work like drive axles and rear anti-roll bar, and upgrades like a hydraulic handbrake and a larger exhaust, we've had to sort out quite a few things. And it still isn't done!

This is a glimpse on what it takes to bring an old project car back together, one repair at a time.

I've officially accepted that I'm better at building race cars than photographing them. 😅

Motorsports photography gave me a lot of great memories, but it's time to move on. Rather than keep this gear sitting unused, I'm passing it on to someone who'll enjoy it.

Our Coupe AWD has a Hyundai G4JP block much like this build. Ahhh we need to get it properly running and in fighting form!

So we opened up the transmission of our Charade. Engine is a D15Z4 non VTEC from Japan.
For information it has a P4A-B000 case and Civic EX ratios (same as local VTi/PH12) and a 4.25 final.
I personally counted the ratios and am quite pleased to confirm this in the flesh. The bad news, we broke the inner cv joints. After replacing it, issue not resolved and we thought to check the inside of the tr**ny. There seems to be nothing wrong inside. Hmmmm....
This thing will be good with an L*D and a shorter final. (Found a cheap L*D but it has some issues that a machine shop needs to fix....
