𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 | 𝘿𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙯𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙯𝙖

Holy Infant Academy's Intramurals 2025 has now come to an end.

On September 15, 2025, the Intramurals concluded at the HIA Gymnasium. The venue erupted with loud cheers and yells and was filled with the brightest colors of red, blue, yellow, and green as all Familias gathered as one family with undeniable unity.

The closing event began with the morning assembly, followed by the continuation of awarding ceremonies for some sports. As Mrs. April Grace Leyesa and Mr. Noel Leyesa stepped on stage, the closing program officially commenced.

The much-awaited declaration of the overall champion was announced. Familia Caritas proudly reclaimed their title as champions, while Familia Excellentia, with hopes of securing back-to-back victories, humbly took 1st Runner-Up. With strong determination, Familia Fides earned 2nd Runner-Up, and with full integrity, Familia Integritas claimed 3rd Runner-Up.

Regardless of the outcomes, Mrs. Alona V. Cueto, the school principal, reminded all students to embody this year’s theme: “Our School, Our Home; Where Values Lead and Champions Rise for Life.” She quoted, “Ang pagiging champion ay hindi lamang sa pagiging champion sa mga contest. Ito ay ang pagiging champion sa pagpapakita ng magagandang katangi-buhay.” This highlights the essence that true champions are defined not only by victories in contests but also by pure intentions and good hearts.

She ended her statement with a motherly request: “I hope you can live out our core values so you can be champions for life.”

Truly, Intramurals 2025 was not just a sports competition but a celebration of memories, values, and overflowing respect. This event is a testament that the whole HIA community is guided by values and made up of champions who will continue to rise for life.

Thunderous applause erupts from the stands as Familia Caritas is crowned the reigning champion of the Intramurals 2025. With a competitive spirit and friendly cheer, they reclaim their title once more. The entire HIA family truly came alive as this year’s Intramurals highlighted how champions rise with the guidance of values.

Amidst the roaring crowds, Familia Caritas President, Gianne Margarette Tolentino, grins from ear to ear. While fun and smiles graced the faces of her companions, her silent hardships were acknowledged by each and every one.

She offered a fresh perspective as she voiced her sentiments on their victory. Tolentino stated that she was glad because all their hard work had paid off and that they were able to prove that Familia Caritas never backs down from a challenge—carrying a passion within each word she uttered.

“Winning back the title feels like a dream come true. It’s proof that hard work and teamwork pay off,” she said.

Although hardships and obstacles came their way, memories were made and bonds were formed. Each laugh, each moment shared, became a reminder that all their struggles were worth it, and that these memories will stay with them forever.

As she prepares to bid her alma mater adieu, she leaves her words to the younger and future generations of Familia Caritas: “Always give it your best, and don’t forget to enjoy it.”

Embodying the value of loving service, Familia Caritas ends its Intramurals experience with unity, sportsmanship, and support.

The Holy Infant Academy gymnasium buzzed with energy as two matches unfolded—both showcasing not only athletic skill but also the deeper spirit of unity that sports bring.

In the first clash, Team Water/Cañete displayed dominance as they swept Team Ba/Castillo in straight sets, 25–19 and 25–23. From the opening whistle, Water/Cañete controlled the tempo with fierce offense and well-coordinated defense. Their early momentum in the first set created a sizeable lead they never surrendered.

Team Ba/Castillo, however, proved resilient in the second set. With sharper ex*****on and unwavering determination, they pushed the game into a tense back-and-forth battle. But when it mattered most, Team Water/Cañete stayed calm under pressure, stringing together clutch plays to seal their 2–0 victory. The win underscored their strong chemistry, smart plays, and consistency—marking them as serious contenders moving forward.

But the spirit of competition extended beyond students battling classmates. In a much-anticipated friendly match, generations collided as students faced off against their own parents. The gym erupted with cheers as both sides brought not just skill, but heart, to the court.

Parents showcased resilience and teamwork, challenging the younger players with their solid presence and experience. The students, in turn, responded with agility and speed, fueling thrilling rallies that kept the crowd on edge. Point after point, the game remained tight, with every rally drawing cheers from classmates, teachers, and families alike.

By the final whistle, the scoreboard told one story, but the smiles and laughter told another. Both parents and students emerged as winners—not just in points, but in the camaraderie and bonds strengthened on the court. More than just a competition, it became a celebration of sportsmanship, respect, and unity across generations.

From decisive victories to unforgettable memories, the games at Holy Infant Academy showed that in the heart of competition, what matters most is not only who wins—but how the game brings people together.

As the vibrant colors of Caritas, Integritas, Fides, and Excellentia filled the HIA gymnasium, another kind of energy buzzed through the court - not defined as rivalry, but as a reunion with unity!

Friendly gameagainst HIA parents took place in the gymnasium on the first day of Intramurals 2025, afternoon, bringing faculty and alumni together once again in a basketball match.

The match unfolded with fun and intense spirit. Faculty-Alumni were driven confidently by familiar faces - Mr. Dalisay, Mr. Albo, Mr. Huerto, and the Parents answered with no less good shooting - Mr. Paneza, Mr. Tolentino, Mr. Delacruz and Mr. Mortel, with hustle and heart and a now and then surprise shot, that the crowd cheered.

Each possession was met with cheers, not just for the score, but for the spirit behind it. Teachers passed to former students. Parents blocked shots with a grin. Alumni ran along the court, not only in search of points, but in search of memories. The gym was filled with chanting and laughing that caused the boundary between the player and the spectator to be blurred.

The clock time was killing as the last minutes ticked off and tension burst. Each ground scratch, each rebound, each hand to hand was a celebration of all HIA means - pride, unity, and shared legacy. And with a close call of 67-65 parents came out the winner.

The actual win was not on the scoreboard but in the high-fives, back pats, hugs shared across the two teams and the smiles and laughs that hung on long after the game.

𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙘𝙤

In the HIA’s Intramurals 2025, the Games of the General showcased battles of precise tactics and sharp moves, where every decision could mean the difference between triumph or defeat.

Starting with the Grade 7 match, Jeff Martin Delgado of Familia Excellentia, showed excellence and stepped forward with a calculated mindset defending his flag with flawless precision.

Additionally, the tactic of deception vs attack arose with Prince Leur Marasigan of Familia Integritas triumphed with disguising his private as a general and ultimately knocking out the opponent’s flag.

Over in Grade 9, Albrix Colocar Jr. of Familia Fides stormed into action, refusing to play passively and using the strategy of the Blitzkrieg to defend his flag and eliminating opponent’s weak pieces to reach his flag to the end.

The battle of Grade 10 Jushtine Frayre of Familia Integritas swept the board with his quick and precised moves giving no room to Familia Caritas.

On the other hand, Grade 11 showcased patience and control, as Andrei Sarmiento from Familia Caritas had him and Rogelio Timothy of Familia Excellentia shocked and fooled on where on the opponent’s flags are but ultimately Excellentia buffered causing Caritas’ victory.

Last but not the least, was Grade 12, rammed the board, as John Raphael Masongsong of Familia Excellentia even with almost a default still managed to capture Familia Caritas’ flag for the win.

Together their efforts wrote another chapter of glory for their Familias, proving once again that in the Games of the General, strategy and resilience rules above all, combining triumphs symbolize their discipline, self-control, and patience leading to inspire others to step-up and fight for victory.

In a stunning display of dominance, Caritas crushed Integritas with an overwhelming 11–0 victory in their futsal showdown at Plaza Pavilion on September 12, 2025. The match was nothing short of a masterclass in teamwork and strategy, with Caritas dictating the pace from the opening whistle. The crowd roared with every goal, their energy fueling Caritas’ relentless momentum throughout the game.

Caritas wasted no time taking control, immediately pressuring Integritas and leaving them with little room to recover. The precision of their passing and the aggressiveness of their attack kept Integritas on their heels. Every counterattack from Integritas was met with an unbreakable Caritas defense, showing just how locked in they were to secure the win.

The game was packed with excitement as both sides pushed to prove their strength, but Caritas simply refused to let up. Their offensive firepower overwhelmed Integritas again and again, widening the gap with every minute that passed. By the final whistle, Caritas had completely silenced their opponents and celebrated a commanding 11–0 finish.

In the day’s other match, Familia Fides delivered a heart-stopping 7–6 victory over Excellentia in a nail-biting encounter. Macandile opened the scoring early, setting the tone and energizing Fides to take control of the first half. The early lead sparked their confidence, allowing them to dictate the flow of the game and put pressure on Excellentia.

But Excellentia was not about to back down without a fight. With fierce determination, they chipped away at the deficit and even managed to tie the game, stunning the crowd and putting Fides on edge. The second half turned into a battle of nerves, with every possession carrying the weight of the match’s outcome.

As the clock ticked down, the atmosphere grew electric with chants echoing across the Pavilion. Fides found their rhythm in the closing minutes and pulled off the decisive goal that secured the win. The final score of 7–6 sent the Fides crowd into cheers, knowing their team had survived a true test of willpower.
