Nakikita ang gobyerno ng Pilipinas na humihiram ng pera, na may inaasahang PHP 2.7 trilyon sa mga paghiram na inaasahang tutustusan ang deficit ng 2026 national budget, gaya ng iniulat ng House of Representatives' Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department. Ang paghiram na ito ay umaayon sa karaniwang kasanayan ng mga pamahalaan upang pondohan ang mga depisit, makakuha ng foreign exchange, makamit ang mga paborableng tuntunin sa pagpopondo, at balansehin ang cash flow sa pagpapatupad ng proyekto.

The Philippines is set to borrow P2.7 Trillion or $47 Billion to fund the country's fiscal deficit in 2026.

A country has a fiscal deficit when its expenses are higher than its income.

According to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), this amount is the largest debt the country will ever experience.

Contractor and defeated Pasig City mayoralty candidate Sarah Discaya said they started handling flood control projects in 2016, the first year of former President Rodrigo Duterte's term.

This was in response to Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa's question to Discaya on when they "engaged" in the flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
