I'm excited to share a project proposal for our province: "My CHub." (Calatagan HUB)
Inspired by "My NAGA" app, a successful community apps, this platform aims to be a single hub for all of us. It will make it easier to access local services, stay informed, and directly report issues to help our community.
This is a proposal, and I'm looking for support to make it a reality. If you believe this app could help our province, please share this post.
Let's build a smarter, more connected community together!
🌳Welcome to My CHub🌳
The Purpose of the "My CHub" App
My CHub is a mobile application designed to serve as the central hub for information and services for all provincial residents. Its core purpose is twofold:
👫For Citizens: To simplify access to government services, provide accurate information, and empower community members to participate in local governance.
🏢For the Government: To establish a more effective and transparent channel for communication with residents, streamline the process of addressing local issues, and showcase responsiveness to public concerns.
Core Features and Button Functionality
The app's features are centered on empowering citizens by putting essential services at their fingertips. Here is a breakdown of the buttons on the home screen and their intended functionality:
📋Primary Menu (Home Screen)
⚙️Services (Gear Icon):
Functionality: This button serves as a directory for all local government services. Users can navigate a comprehensive list of services, from securing business permits to requesting birth certificates or other official documents.
📒Citizen Guide (Book Icon):
Functionality: This section provides step-by-step guides for various transactions and processes. For example, "How to Renew a Business Permit" or "Requirements for Medical Assistance." Its purpose is to reduce confusion and make government processes clear and accessible.
📃E-Government (Document Icon):
Functionality: This is the portal for online services. It may include features for online tax or permit payments and scheduling appointments with government offices, promoting convenience and efficiency.
🚨Emergency (Siren Icon):
Functionality: With a single tap, users can access a list of vital emergency hotlines, including the police, fire department, and disaster response teams. This feature can also be developed to allow users to send an alert to authorities with their current location in case of an emergency.
📋Specialized Sections (Home Screen)
🍀Agriculture (Leaf Icon):
Functionality: This section is tailored for farmers and fishermen, providing updates on agricultural programs, real-time market prices, and crucial weather advisories.
🤝Local Business (Handshake Icon):
Functionality: Designed for entrepreneurs and business owners. It will provide announcements regarding permits, tax seminars, and business support programs. It can also serve as a directory for local businesses.
🎓Education (Graduation Cap Icon):
Functionality: This area is for students and educators. It will contain information on available scholarships, school events, and educational resources within the province.
The Most Important Feature: "Build Our Community"
This is the key feature that will differentiate "My CHub" and make it a powerful tool for civic engagement.
🟨Button: "Submit Report" (Yellow Button):
Functionality: This allows citizens to report local issues directly. When tapped, a form will open where users can provide:
The type of issue (e.g., garbage pile-up, a broken streetlight, flooding).
A photo of the problem.
The precise location (via GPS).
A brief description.
Workflow: Once submitted, the report will be routed to the appropriate government office. Users can track the status of their report—whether it has been received, is in progress, or has been resolved.
🟦Button: "View Reports" (Blue Button):
Functionality: This is the app's transparency feature. Users can view all reported issues from the community. Reports can be filtered by status (pending, in-progress, resolved) or by the type of problem. This showcases to the public that the government is actively listening to and addressing their concerns.
Thank you.
