‼️CASA ANTONIO FORMER GUESTS ‼️
Our gentle giant Chris Brown, our loyal camp dog and our family… was POISONED.
Yesterday, he was happy, healthy, and full of life.
Today, he’s gone.
He fought for his life until his last breath. We fought with him, our staff rushed him to Nasugbu Vet Clinic the moment symptoms appeared, just over an hour’s drive from camp. But he didn’t make it. He died on the road, fighting.
What makes this even more unbearable is that we, his owners, weren’t there when it happened. I had just flown out a few days ago. I wasn’t there to hold him, to help him, to fight beside him.
And the worst part, I had all the emergency meds stocked and ready. I’ve given them freely to others in need, but this time, when it was one of my own, I couldn’t even reach him in time.
And for what? Because of someone’s cruelty.
Someone chose to poison an innocent, loving soul who did nothing but bring joy to everyone at camp. Whoever you are… May the wrath of heaven and hell find you. You didn’t just kill a dog. You killed a companion, a guardian, and a piece of our family.
And yes damay damay na to. You killed a big part of us. And that said, I will pour my energy elsewhere. We will continue to serve, to organize community programs, and to give back but NEVER AGAIN from a place tainted by this kind of cruelty. Not from the ground that hurt one of my own.
Our dogs are always healthy, vaccinated, and well-fed. But after the typhoon damaged our fences, some of them managed to slip out to the shore at times. That bit of freedom .. the joy of running under open … was all it took for evil to find them.
Poisoning has become far too common around here, and it needs to stop. This isn’t just tragic. Its sickening.
To whoever did this, know this: WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU.
Chris Brown, you were more than our camp dog . You were our heart, our gentle protector, the face that greeted everyone with love. You made our guests smile, our days lighter, and our nights safer.
You didn’t deserve this.
You deserved to live out your years in peace, surrounded by those you loved and who loved you back a thousandfold.
Run free now, big boy.
We will remember your strength. We will fight your fight. And we will make sure your name will never be forgotten.
Please say a prayer to this boy who just wished nothing but to make people around him happy.
