WANTED PERSON NABBED IN SAN JOSE

ROMBLON, ROMBLON – A wanted person was successfully arrested by operatives of the San Jose Municipal Police Station (MPS) at around 9:50 AM on April 20, 2026, in Brgy. Poblacion, San Jose, Romblon.

The arrest was effected by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued on April 13, 2026 by the Honorable Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 82, Odiongan, Romblon, for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. Bail was recommended in the amount of Php 2,000.00 for the temporary liberty of the accused.

The arrested individual is currently under the custody of San Jose MPS for proper documentation and appropriate legal disposition.

Romblon Police Provincial Director, PCOL SAWI, lauded the operating unit for the successful implementation of the warrant.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that justice is served. This successful arrest highlights our continuous efforts to locate and apprehend wanted persons in the province,” PCOL SAWI stated.

The Romblon Police Provincial Office reiterates its call for public cooperation in reporting individuals with standing warrants to help maintain peace and order in the community.

MABILIS NA RESPONDE NG FERROL MPS, PINURI NG NETIZEN

ROMBLON – Pinuri ng isang netizen ang mabilis at maagap na pagtugon ng Ferrol Municipal Police Station (MPS) sa isang insidente ng aksidente sa kalsada sa Brgy. Hinag-oman, Ferrol, Romblon.

Ayon sa ulat, isang concerned citizen na kinilalang si Hon. Edgenel M. Liberato, SK Chairman ng Brgy. Limon Norte, Looc, Romblon, ang nakasaksi sa isang lalaking naaksidente malapit sa covered court ng nasabing barangay. Agad itong humingi ng tulong sa Ferrol MPS sa pamamagitan ng pagtawag sa kanilang duty personnel.

Hindi naman nag-aksaya ng oras ang mga tauhan ng Ferrol MPS at kaagad na rumesponde sa lugar ng insidente, katuwang ang Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). Nabigyan ng paunang lunas ang biktima at agad na naasikaso, na ngayon ay nasa maayos nang kalagayan. Ang biktima ay nakilalang residente ng Alcantara, Romblon.

Pinuri ni Romblon Police Provincial Director PCOL SAWI ang mabilis na aksyon ng mga rumespondeng tauhan.

“Ang agarang pagtugon ng ating mga kapulisan ay patunay ng kanilang dedikasyon sa paglilingkod sa publiko. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ganitong uri ng serbisyo upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng bawat mamamayan,” pahayag ni PCOL SAWI.

Patuloy namang hinihikayat ng Romblon PPO ang publiko na makipagtulungan at agad na i-report sa mga awtoridad ang anumang insidente upang mas mapabilis ang pagbibigay ng tulong at serbisyo.

𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐌𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐬 28% 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 ‘𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬’ 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Following the intensified implementation of its 'Safer Islands' strategy, the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA logged a significant 28.74% reduction in total crime incidents from April 6 to present, compared to the same period in the previous year.

Data from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) revealed that total crime incidents declined from 247 to 176 cases, alongside notable reductions across key indicators: Peace and Order Indicators dropped by 34.87% (152 to 99), index crimes fell by 57.58% (33 to 14), non-index crimes decreased by 28.57% (119 to 85), and public safety incidents, including vehicular cases, declined by 18.95% (95 to 77).

While the 'Safer Cities' initiative strengthens urban security through visibility and disciplined public spaces, PRO MIMAROPA advances 'Safer Islands'—a localized, adaptive framework for geographically dispersed, tourism-driven, and coastal communities, anchored on the consistent and calibrated enforcement of local ordinances.

Regional Director PBGEN Jovencio S Badua, Jr said the strategy ensures that police presence and public safety are felt across all communities.

“Through 'Safer Islands', we ensure that safety is not limited by geography. Whether in the mainland, along our coastlines, or in the farthest island barangay, the presence of the police must be felt, trusted, and relied upon,” PBGEN Badua said.

The MIMAROPA Top Cop emphasized that sustaining these gains will require continued focus on investigative efficiency and case resolution to ensure accountability and reinforce public trust.

“Reducing crime is only part of the mission. We must ensure that justice is delivered. Safer Islands commits not only to visible policing, but to effective law enforcement that produces results,” PBGEN Badua added.

PRO MIMAROPA reaffirmed its commitment to responsive, community-centered, and results-driven policing, ensuring that safety, discipline, and public trust are sustained across every island and community in MIMAROPA.
