Liceo de Calauan proudly took part in the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Philippine Red Cross โ San Pablo City Chapter, held at the Convention Center, Brgy. San Jose, San Pablo City, Laguna, with the theme: โLegacy of Compassion: 75 Years of Service, Humanity, and Hope.โ
Representing the school with honor and dignity were Mr. John Paulo A. Gutierrez, Academic Coordinator, and Mr. Elgen Anthony Pestilos, SSLG Adviser, with the full support of Mrs. Connie R. Gapasan, School Principal. Clad in Barong Tagalog, they embodied the schoolโs commitment to service and Filipino tradition.
Special thanks to Mrs. Levin Berris, who consistently coordinates with the Philippine Red Cross, ensuring Liceoโs active involvement and recognition in various initiatives.
The program began with a vibrant Opening Salvo by the SPCIHS-SPA Dance Troupe, followed by the recitation of the 7 Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as the organization's Vision and Mission. Welcoming remarks and acknowledgments were delivered by Mrs. Dorie P. Cabela, Chapter Administrator.
This invitation not only reflects Liceo de Calauanโs enduring partnership with the Philippine Red Cross โ San Pablo City Chapter but also reaffirms the schoolโs annual participation in bloodletting activities, with the full assistance of Mrs. Myra Cabugos, school nurse. Her dedication plays a vital role in making this life-saving tradition possibleโpromoting volunteerism and compassion within the Licean community.
May this milestone celebration inspire continued acts of kindness and collective efforts to build a more hopeful and united future.
