IN PHOTOS | Through the initiative of Liceo de Calauan, led by Mrs. Connie R. Gapasan, School Principal, together with Mrs. Joan C. Aquino, the school's Discipline Coordinator, an Anti-Bullying, Child Protection Policy, and Drug Awareness Symposium was successfully organized and attended by Grade 9 and Grade 10 students, along with their advisers, faculty members, and administrative staff.

In her welcoming remarks, Mrs. Gapasan emphasized the importance of creating a safe and supportive learning environment where students can thrive without fear of bullying, abuse, or harmful influences.

Subsequently, Ms. Arceli S. Gamboa, RSW, MPA, a representative from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) of Calauan, facilitated the Anti-Bullying and Child Protection Policy symposium, which focused on raising awareness of children's rights, promoting respectful behavior, and outlining the proper procedures for reporting and addressing incidents of abuse or bullying.

Following that session, PSMS Suelyn A. Conde of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Calauan engaged the students in a discussion on Drug Awareness, highlighting the dangers of drug use, its impact on youth, and the importance of making informed, healthy choices.

Conducting symposiums that promote awareness of such critical issues is essential—not only for the school but for the entire community. These initiatives, in collaboration with various institutions, play a vital role in nurturing students to become responsible and well-informed citizens of our country.

Kiddie Strength and Creativity Unleashed!

While the Junior and Senior High School departments prepare for the most unforgettable party of the year, the Elementary Department took the spotlight as they enjoyed the Kiddie Fest, featuring the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green Teams.

The celebration kicked off with a bang as the pupils showcased their energetic dance performances with their classmates, followed by exciting games that fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among the young Liceans.

To cap it all off, they gathered for a delightful food feast—tables overflowing with a mountain of goodies. This boodle fight not only filled their stomachs but also promoted unity as they shared meals, strengthened friendships, and created memories to cherish.

IN PHOTOS | To start the month filled with faith, new light, and new beginnings, Liceans, teachers, and staff participated in the First Friday Mass in celebration of the Feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta, presided over by Rev. Fr. Alphonsus Sabarillo.

In his homily, Fr. Alphonsus highlighted the importance of keeping God at the center of our lives. He quoted St. Paul’s message to the Colossians, reminding everyone that we are all created in God’s image and entrusted with a purpose to protect and care for. He also emphasized that everything we do should always be centered on God.

This Eucharistic celebration served as a way of praying for the Lord’s guidance while fostering Christian faith, as everyone looks forward to a meaningful and productive month ahead. It also served as a reminder to pursue a holy life and follow the example of St. Teresa, whose way of service to the Lord was shown through caring for others, even without expecting anything in return.

The Municipality of Calauan, through the Municipal Health Office (MHO), spearheaded the School-Based Immunization (Bakuna Eskwela) Orientation on September 3, 2025 at the Gabaldon Hall, Calauan Central Central School.

Led by Ms. Raquel A. Omega, National Immunization Program (NIP) Coordinator, the orientation sought to strengthen collaboration among school heads, medical personnel, PTA representatives, and local health officials in ensuring the protection of children against vaccine-preventable diseases.

Liceo de Calauan proudly took part in this important health initiative, represented by the School Nurse Mrs. Myra Cabugos and two of the APTA Executive Board of Officers, Mrs. Jane Alcantara and Mrs. Bheng Mendoza, showing the school’s strong commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of its learners.

The Liceo community once again gathered in faith and devotion as students and teachers participated in the First Wednesday Novena Prayer. This monthly spiritual exercise—observed with reverence and solemnity—highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also spiritual growth among its learners.

Guided by their mentors, Liceans took a pause from their academic engagements to offer prayers of gratitude, petitions, and intentions. The Novena served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of prayer in daily life, fostering unity within the community while strengthening each individual’s faith and values.

More than a tradition, the First Wednesday Novena Prayer reflects Liceo’s mission of forming students who are academically competent, morally upright, and spiritually grounded. As the community continues this devotion, may every Licean be inspired to live out the values of faith, service, and excellence in both their studies and personal lives.
