Carayman National High School formally concluded the teaching internship of Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) pre-service teachers through an Exit Conference Program held at the schoolโ€™s Multipurpose Hall today, March 18, 2026.

The event gathered school administrators, cooperating teachers, and NwSSU representative to recognize the achievements and professional growth of the student interns after their field-based training.

During the Exit Conference, School Principal Mr. Christopher D. Salino delivered consolidated feedback offering insights and suggestions for improvement, and an inspirational message to guide the pre-service teachers in their future careers. The awarding of certificates of internship completion and recognition for Best in Demonstration highlighted the internsโ€™ dedication and teaching competence.

In the closing program, various stakeholders shared messages of appreciation and reflection. Representing the NwSSU College of Education, Mr. Rowee Caรฑedo expressed gratitude to CNHS for providing a supportive learning environment that helped shape the interns into future educators. He emphasized the importance of strong partnerships between universities and secondary schools in teacher development.

Student leaders and cooperating teachers also conveyed their support and appreciation, recognizing the efforts and contributions of the pre-service teachers during their stay. A unity dance capped the celebration, symbolizing camaraderie and shared experiences.

The program concluded with closing remarks encouraging the interns to uphold professionalism, passion, and commitment as they transition into the teaching profession.

The Exit Conference served as both a culminating activity and a celebration of collaboration between CNHS and NwSSU in nurturing competent and dedicated future teachers.

To help students make informed academic and career choices, Carayman National High School conducted a School-Based Career Guidance cm Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum Orientation for Grades 10 to 12 students today, March 17, 2026, at the schoolโ€™s Multipurpose Hall.

The activity gathered learners at crucial stages of their academic journey, equipping them with essential knowledge about SHS tracks, career pathways, and future opportunities. The orientation also introduced updates on the strengthened SHS curriculum, emphasizing the development of relevant skills for higher education and employment.

Resource speakers from partner institutionsโ€”including STI, Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU), TESDA, and Christ the King College (CKC)โ€”shared insights on academic and technical-vocational programs. Their discussions highlighted the importance of aligning studentsโ€™ interests, strengths, and goals with their chosen career paths.

Through this initiative, CNHS continues to guide its learners toward becoming career-ready individuals capable of making purposeful and informed decisions about their future.

Carayman National High School participated in the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) conducted on March 12, 2026 at 3:30 PM, joining schools and institutions across the country in promoting disaster preparedness.

During the activity, students, teachers, and school personnel carried out the standard โ€œDrop, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure as the simulated earthquake signal was given. After the initial response, participants calmly and systematically proceeded to the designated evacuation area within the school campus.

The drill aimed to strengthen the readiness of the school community in responding to possible earthquake emergencies. It also reinforced awareness of proper safety measures and the importance of staying calm and alert during disaster situations.

Carayman National High School student Jayson P. Darras emerged as Champion in the Poster-Making Contest (Junior High Category) held on March 10, 2026 at Northwest Samar State Universityโ€“Calbayog City as part of the observance of Fire Prevention Month.

The contest was conducted during Community Relations Week (COMRES 5) organized by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) โ€“ Calbayog City Fire Station, carrying the theme โ€œHangad Nating Lahat: Pamayanang Handa, Aktibo at Ligtas.โ€

Through his creative poster entry, Darras showcased his artistic talent while promoting fire safety awareness and community preparedness. His work stood out among other participants, earning him the top spot in the junior high school category.

Darras proudly represented Carayman National High School under the guidance of Coach Ms. Angiela Refamonte, who supported and mentored him throughout the competition.

Third-year English major students from Northwest Samar State University, together with their advisers, successfully conducted an outreach program at Carayman National High School today, bringing joy and meaningful learning experiences to the learners.

Dubbed โ€œLeading Hearts and Minds: A Post-Valentineโ€™s Day Outreach Program,โ€ the activity aimed to promote values formation, strengthen community engagement, and provide meaningful interaction between future educators and secondary school learners. The program featured interactive games, unity dances, inspirational messages, and the distribution of gifts.

The program formally opened with the national anthem and prayer, followed by opening remarks delivered by Ms. Maria Lourdes Mae Vergara-Bilante. A special message was also given by CNHS School Principal Christopher D. Salino, who expressed appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of partnerships between higher education institutions and public schools.

Throughout the morning, the NWSSU students actively facilitated games and performances, showcasing their creativity, leadership, and commitment to community service. The learners of Carayman NHS enthusiastically participated, reflecting the positive impact of the outreach on both the organizers and beneficiaries.
