How to get here?

•Jeepney & Habal
From SM Legazpi, take a jeepney bound for Daraga or Polangui/Camalig and inform the driver to drop you off near Farm Plate. The jeepney fare is around ₱15-₱20. In my case, I stopped by CAL Courtyard and then took a habal-habal for ₱25. (not so sure about the fare, since I kind of forgot. Nag DIY lang ako at pinagtanong ko lang din✌️😁)

Known for its beautiful farm-themed setting, FarmPlate is also the filming location of the movie “I Love Lizzy” and home to the smallest chapel in the Philippines. They also offer a pet cemetery, making it a unique and heartfelt destination.

It’s 4 a.m., and the airport coffee shop is alive with quiet energy. The smell of freshly brewed coffee fills the air as you sit by the glass window, your bag resting at your feet. Outside, planes taxi on the runway, their lights blinking against the dark sky.

Sometimes, you find a new kind of confidence in places where you’re just a stranger passing through. There’s freedom in being unknown, in exploring somewhere fresh without the weight of expectations or familiar routines.

It’s funny how a place you’ve never been can feel so liberating, almost like a reset button. With no one watching, you’re free to wander without a plan, to take chances, and even to make mistakes.

In these moments, you realize that sometimes getting lost is just another way of finding yourself.

Story time:

Ito na nga! 😁 First time kong lilipad sa Sunlight Air, excited pa si Inday, ang aga ko sa airport—biyaheng Siargao to Cebu. Ang boarding time ay 9:50 AM pero alas-sais pa lang, nasa boarding gate na ako. Mala-late sa trabaho pero hindi sa airport, charot! 😂

May isang airline ang nag-announce ng delayed flight, inaasahan ko na rin kasi nga maulan at may habagat na sa panahong ito. Aba, malapit na ang boarding time nang mag-announce ang mga staff ng Sunlight Air na cancelled na ang flight due to operational reasons. Hindi delayed kundi cancelled! Syempre, safety ng lahat pa rin ang top priority.

Madaming nag-react (lalo na yung mga may inaasahang importanteng gagawin). Hassle nga naman kasi, pero ako chill lang, bilang spontaneous trip naman ito. Isang gabi lang ang nakabook na stay ko sa Cebu at pumayag naman sila na i-move sa next day. Ito ang mga options ng Sunlight:

1. Sasama sa afternoon flight pero sa Clark airport ang lapag.
2. Full refund
3. Rebook sa next day, with free accommodation, meals, at airport transfer, plus may free one-way flight to any destination na may byahe sila.

Syempre, dun tayo sa option 3. Balik Siargao, ayaw pa ata ako paalisin. 😁

Sinundo kami ng van papunta sa accommodation, pero hindi na sa GL, sa Del Carmen na, kung saan medyo malapit sa airport. Full-board meals na rin. Oks na, 'di ba?
