almost a month into college, and somehow, it already feels like iโve lived through so much.
iโve cried, laughed, gotten overwhelmed, met people i never thought iโd meet, and even lost some along the way. iโve experienced things i never expected this early, good things, difficult things, and moments that made me question myself.
being a freshman is hard. bagong environment, bagong people, bagong version of yourself na kailangan mong kilalanin. aside from adjusting to UPLB, keeping up with acads, and finding where i belong, thereโs also the pressure of being part of one of the top universities in the country.
sometimes, parang expected kang laging alam ang ginagawa mo, laging mahusay, and always living up to the name of the university you represent. the pressure can be overwhelming, especially when people already have expectations of you before they even get to know you.
iโve also faced backlash, misunderstandings, and issues along the way. having a platform can be difficult because not everyone will understand your intentions or see the person behind their assumptions. masakit ma-judge, especially when youโre already trying your best to adjust and find your footing.
but through all of this, iโve learned to value the people who stay, the ones i can trust, who genuinely have my back, and who choose to understand me even when things get difficult. support isnโt always loud, but the people who quietly stand by you can mean everything.
this photo feels like a little reminder that, somehow, i made it through my first month. hindi perfect, hindi madali, pero kinaya. ๐ปโค๏ธ
if youโre also struggling to find your place, please know that youโre not alone. if you feel unseen, unheard, misunderstood, or like youโre falling behind, i hope my little corner of the internet reminds you that someone is rooting for you.
iโll keep cheering for people, celebrating their wins, and reminding them that theyโre capable of more than they think. as long as i have this platform, i hope it can be a safe space where you feel seen, not judged, pressured, or expected to be perfect.
hereโs to the first month, the tears, laughter, pressure, backlash, people we met, people we lost, the ones who stayed, and all the versions of ourselves weโre still becoming.
weโre only getting started. ๐
