PhotoGrid News Update: The Philippine National Police (PNP) has completed its investigation into the August 18 shooting incident at a private school in Barangay Tumaga, Zamboanga City.
“Based on the findings, investigators found no evidence that the incident was carried out as part of a conspiracy involving any group, organization, or other individuals,” the PNP said. Investigators also found no established school-related or personal grievance that could sufficiently explain the shooting.
The probe, however, identified prior preparation and exposure to violent online material as among the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The PNP said it will file charges of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Physical Injury against the registered owner of the fi****ms used in the incident and a school security personnel.
According to PNP, the investigation found that “gaps in firearm safekeeping and accountability allowed unauthorized access to the fi****ms used,” while security deficiencies at the school, particularly in entry and exit screening, also contributed to the circumstances of the incident. | via Jamesray Sanchez/PhotoGrid News
