I usually don’t get involved in my students’ lives outside of school or the classroom because I believe those matters are mainly the responsibility of their parents or guardians.
It’s not that I don’t care, it’s just that I respect the boundaries of my role as a teacher. What they do outside of school is their own concern unless it starts to affect their behavior or performance in class.

I also avoid talking about students’ personal issues if they’re not related to school. For me, bringing up those topics without trying to help or offer solutions doesn’t really serve a purpose. It's just plain gossip.
And I don't think it's right or helpful in the students' development.
