The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Candon Campus held its first general assembly for the first semester of Academic Year 2026โ2027 today, August 13, 2026, at the campus covered court.
The assembly gathered students and student leaders to discuss matters concerning student governance, financial accountability, organizational policies, ongoing projects, and upcoming campus activities.

As part of its commitment to transparency, the SSC presented the financial statement covering the fines collected during the previous semester. The presentation provided the student body with an account of the funds collected and their corresponding utilization, giving students an opportunity to be informed about the councilโs financial transactions.
Following the financial presentation, the council also presented the existing Constitution and By-Laws, together with the proposed revisions to several of its provisions. The discussion aimed to familiarize and involve the student body in decision-making concerning the policies governing the student council, while presenting proposed changes intended to strengthen its organizational structure, policies, and operations.

Beyond matters of governance and policy, the SSC also provided updates on its ongoing and proposed projects for the academic year. These updates were presented to keep students informed of the councilโs plans and programs and to encourage greater participation in activities that directly involve the student body.
Meanwhile, attention shifted to the campusโ upcoming celebrations and programs, with Kapisanan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Filipino (KAMAFIL) Adviser Mr. Eugene Dapiosen presenting the activities lined up for the Buwan ng Wika celebration, while the council provided updates on the forthcoming Panagsapata 2026 and ASEAN Month Celebration.
The SSC also discussed other planned activities and initiatives for the first semester, giving students a preview of the programs lined up for the academic year.
More than a venue for announcements, the assembly underscored the importance of communication and student participation in shaping campus initiatives as the SSC carries forward its mandate for Academic Year 2026โ2027.
