āBut everyone is on social media, why should we go for radio advertising...ā
Here's why:
Use them together. Social media is excellent for engaging people who are already online and allowing us to target specific audiences. Radio gives us something different: repeated reach, especially among people who may not be actively scrolling or looking for your brand.
The real value is that radio can create awareness and familiarity, while social media can reinforce that message and drive people to take action. So instead of competing with your social-media advertising budget, radio can actually complement it and give the campaign more reach and frequency.ā
āA lot of people are, absolutelyābut being on social media doesn't mean they're seeing your advertisement. Social feeds are crowded, algorithms determine what people see, and users can scroll past an ad in seconds. Radio gives us another opportunity to reach them repeatedly, often while they're driving, working, shopping, or doing other things where they're not actively consuming social content.ā
āIf your objective is simply to get clicks, social media may be enough. But if the objective is to build awareness, increase familiarity, and stay top-of-mind, I wouldn't rely on one channel alone. Social media gives us targeting and interaction; radio gives us additional reach and repetition. The combination can be much more powerful than either channel working by itself.ā
āWeāre not replacing social mediaāweāre expanding the number of opportunities people have to encounter your brand.ā
That's media synergy and incremental reach!
