World Teachers Day Celebration: A Spectacular Day

Joining the celebration of teachers day headed by the Division Office, Tomasian teachers wore their dashing formal and eye catching denim attires held at the Candon Arena, October 4.

The day started with a thanksgiving mass at St. John of Sahagun Parish where teachers dedicate their lives to the greatest teacher, Jesus. Msgr. Cosmenio Rosimo Jr. reminded the teachers to always look unto the greatest teacher, Jesus, as their model.

The mass was followed by the teacher's day celebration at the Candon Arena where music, dancing, awards, recognition and raffle were the highlight of the event.

Sir Dexter B. Batin, SHS Teacher was awarded as the Most Outstanding Public School Teacher for Teacher I-III Category during the 4th Dayaw ken Pammateg Search for Outstanding Personnel of the Year.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nick G. Collado, School Principal, was awarded with Loyalty Award having served the Department of Education for 21 years. Mam Nympha O. Baliao and Nurse Jerlyn Grace A. Banasan were also given the same award for serving 15 years while Sir Jefferson A. Pendaden, Mam Maricel G. Tejano, and Mam Cherry Luz J. Manzano for 10 years.

Moreover, Mam Marilyn V. Santiago, Mam Aida G. Gapate, Mam Mylene G. Cortez, Mam Maricel G. Tejano, Mam May B. Teofilo, Mam Presalyn Janice M. Oliver and Mam Jomalyn B. Calub were also given a Special Citation award as recognition for their Outstanding Rating for three years.

National Learning Camp teacher volunteers, Mam Jomalyn B. Calub, Sir Marco Sanchez, Mam Jonalyn D. Mangibat, Mam May B. Teofilo, Mam Chinese B. Tucdaden, and Mam Arlene T. Galacio were also recognized for their dedication in teaching during the summer vacation.

Raffle prizes were also won by our Tomasian teachers.

Tomasians Welcome October with Awards and Recognitions

Project RANIAG also known as Recognizing and Awarding Innovations, Achievements and Good Deeds Awards started awarding Certificate of Recognition to all those who performed excellently during the month of September 2023 headed by School Principal Dr. Nick G. Collado, Head Teacher III, Evelyn B. Altiz and Head Teacher I, Leah P. Vilog.

Best Landscaped Area, Most Organized table for teachers and Most Structured Room were awarded after the flag raising ceremony, today.

Best Landscaped Area was awarded to Grade 10 Humility under the advisory class of Cherry Luz J. Manzano where Grade 8 Courage under Jomalyn B. Calub, HUMSS 12 Bonifacio under Janice C. Galao, GAS 12 under Limuel Galano, HUMSS 12 Aguinaldo under Elena Quiabang and TVL 11 Gumamela under Jhovelyn Agbunag served as Finalists.

Most Structured Classroom was awarded to 12 HUMSS Bonifacio led by Mam Janice Galao.

Meanwhile, Cherry Ann Leuterio outwit the teaching personnel with her organization skills after being proclaimed having the Most Organized Table. Reneboy Sanchez and Elena Quiabang were also recognized as Finalists.

Individual Contest for the month like Essay Writing Contest were also awarded.
For the Junior High School Category, Christlyn Querubin, Grade 10 Humility outshines Christen G. Del Rosario of Grade 10 Charity and Rhian Kate Fabianes of Grade 9 Gratitude who ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Angela Margareth Sireg of 12 HUMSS Aguinaldo grabbed the 1st place while Vanessa Ashley Cudiamat of 11 HUMSS Ilang-ilang and Jasmine Jade Galcon of 11 GAS placed 2nd and 3rd.

With these awards and recognitions, Tomasians are encouraged and challenged to do better for the coming months.
