Candon National High School (CNHS) strengthened its school-community partnership by hosting its first School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) General Assembly for School Year 2025-2026 at the school gymnasium, June 26.

School Principal IV Marino G. Galimba led the event, which included presentations on the schoolโ€™s financial statements and enrollment statistics.

Assistant Principals Justine G. Vallejos and Clarissa G. Rosales provided updates on the schoolโ€™s overall status, explained the grading system, and highlighted major academic programs.

Senior High School Assistant Principal Fidel T. Wigan Jr. presented guidelines on class suspensions, while School Discipline Council (SDC) Chairperson Froilan M. Alusen discussed school policies, student discipline guidelines, and the code of conduct.

CNHS SPTA President Samuel Bagsangi Sr. expressed his full support for the new goals set for the school year.

Classroom discussions following the assembly covered key school policies, classroom improvement projects, and the election of new PTA officers.

CNHS hits 3.5K Enrollees

Candon National High Schoolโ€™s enrollment rolled to a total of 3,530 during the enrollment period which started on June 9 and ended on the 13th.

The Junior High school recorded 594 enrollees for the 7th Grade, 563 for Grade 8, 444 for Grade 9, and 584 for Grade 10. Meanwhile, the Senior High School records 692 learners for Grade 11 and 653 for Grade 12. More learners are expected to enroll until the 20th of June.

Contributory to the numbers are the launching of the Special Program in Mathematics (SPM) this school year along with the sustained hike in the enrollees under the Science, Technology, and Engineering Program and the Special Program in Sports (SPS), which took off last school year. These specialized programs have provided new opportunities for the learners to grow their potentials and be brighter in their chosen fields.

It highlights the simplest acts of love and care for both the community and the environment โ€” ready to start another joyful year.

Brigada Eskwela 2025 also ensures that learning comes from shared effort and eagerness; making the school ready for the new school year.
