Candon City, April 10, 2026 โ The Schools Division Office I (SDO) Pangasinan held an Appreciation Program at Candon National High School (CNHS) to recognize the schoolโs vital role as a billeting site during the Region I Athletic Association (R1AA) meet. The program, which started at 5:00 p.m., brought together school leaders, volunteer teachers, non-teaching personnel, PTA officers, and community partners in a celebration of service and collaboration.
The event opened with a welcome message from Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Arlene B. Casipit, followed by a keynote of gratitude from ASDS Rosario O. Cabrera of Pangasinan I. Cabrera emphasized that Candon City has become a sister division to Pangasinan I, citing the hospitality and support of CNHS that allowed their athletes and delegates to focus on performance. She commended the volunteer teaching and non-teaching staff, Barangay Bagani Campo officials, tanods, barangay health workers, the Philippine National Police, and PTA officers for their tireless service since Day 0.
School Principal IV Marino Galimba, joined by head teachers and teacher volunteers, accepted tokens of appreciation โ a certificate and boxes of bagoong โ symbolizing Pangasinanโs culture and gratitude.
In his message, ASDS Julius M. Jose of Candon City extended heartfelt thanks to Pangasinan I, underscoring the strong ties built through shared commitment to education and community service.
The program featured an intermission performance by the Dancesports champions, who showcased their winning routine. SGOD Chief Michael E. Rame formally closed the program, which concluded with community singing and a shared dinner, highlighting fellowship and unity.
The appreciation ceremony not only honored CNHS but also reflected the enduring spirit of collaboration between divisions, schools, and communities โ a testament to the power of unity in advancing education.
