You know whatâs crazy? 6.8 million people looked at a photo of Rihanna, one of the most successful, beautiful women on the planet, and nodded along to someone saying her face is why men trade women in.
And then we wonder why so many women are terrified of turning 30.
This is the message weâre feeding everyone: you are valuable until you show evidence of having lived. Every line, every change, every version of you that isnât the youngest one, itâs not depth, itâs depreciation.
So yeah, women freeze their faces. They starve themselves. They spend thousands trying to outrun a deadline that was never real to begin with. Not because theyâre vain. Because we made it clear: age is a debt you pay until no one wants you.
And hereâs the part that really gets me, when a man leaves the mother of his children because she doesnât look 20 anymore, heâll tell himself he just wasnât âattracted.â But what he really means is he couldnât see the value in something he already possessed. He confused familiarity with decline. He mistook her comfort for carelessness.
But letâs be honest: if you can only love someone in their peak, you donât love them. You just appreciate the view.
A woman at 37 knows things she was too busy performing to know at 20. Sheâs not less, sheâs more. More sure, more seasoned, more herself. The face youâre calling âagedâ is the face that stayed up with a sick kid, built empires, survived things youâll never know about. It didnât expire. It earned every single thing youâre calling a flaw.
And if you left her? She didnât lose you. She outgrew you. đ
