As we close this chapter, we look back with pride. The Academians was more than a publicationโ€”it was our voice, our passion, and our family.

Behind every story were late nights, hard work, and heart. We captured your moments, told your stories, and stood for what mattered.

To Miss Aiza Marie Manreal, our guiding lightโ€”thank you. To our readers and supportersโ€”thank you.

Carcar Academy Holds Successful SSLG Elections for School Year 2025โ€“2026

Carcar Academy Technical School, Inc. (CATSI) was filled with excitement and anticipation on April 8, 2025, as students actively participated in the highly awaited Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) elections for the academic year 2025โ€“2026.

The election was conducted smoothly and peacefully throughout the day. Students from Grades 7 to 12 cast their votes in designated classrooms, following a strict schedule to ensure order and discipline. Voters were required to bring their own black ballpens, and the school enforced a no-campaigning policy during the voting period. Students were also reminded that attendance was mandatory, and any absences needed valid proof to avoid being assigned community service.

Early in the morning, while students were preparing their clearance requirements, they also prepared to fulfill their responsibility as student citizensโ€”lining up with determination to vote for candidates they believed were capable of leading. Representing two major party lists, the TINDOG PARTYLIST and the USWAG PARTYLIST, the candidates vied for various SSLG positions, hoping to earn the trust and support of their fellow Academians.

The atmosphere across the school was filled with enthusiasm as students embraced the democratic process, hoping for a set of leaders who would bring positive change and strong representation for their voices.

The official results of the election will be posted on the SSLG COMELEC page on April 9, while the formal proclamation of winners is scheduled for April 10, 2025. The school administration has expressed its satisfaction with how the elections were carried out and extended their appreciation to both the student body and election officers for their cooperation and discipline.

With new leaders soon to be announced, the entire CATSI community looks forward to a year of proactive student governance and empowered leadership.

Miting de Avance: A Colloquy of Leadership Between Aspiring Future SSLG Leaders

Today marks the Miting de Avance of Carcar Academy Technical School Inc. (CATSI), which provided a chance for aspiring Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) candidates to demonstrate their leadership skills, share their visions, and showcase their qualifications for the student body's votes. The program began with a solemn opening led by COMELEC Secretary Niรฑa Nichole Nemeรฑo, followed by welcome remarks from SSLG Adviser Josie Mae P. Duterte. SSLG Secretary and event moderator Donah Jane Satinitigan presented the election guidelines, while COMELEC Chairman Lour Vale Daรฑo introduced the Party Managers.

The spotlight then turned to the USWAG Party and TINDOG Party candidates, who confidently introduced themselves and stated their speeches. As the timer turned to a halt, it was time to proceed to the next part of the program, which was the presentation of platforms and advocacy. The platforms were passionately delivered by the aspiring candidates for President and Vice President (Internal). Both parties were given a chance to question one another about the said platforms. Later on, an open forum gave the student body a chance to ask questions, fostering student engagement and a healthy open discussion. Former SSLG officers also asked meaningful questions about leadership, where both parties shared each others' sentiments, with different views and plans. Amidst their difference, they still have the same goal and that is to lead and serve the students of CATSI.

Throughout the program, students showed their excitement and support for the candidates with cheers and applause, creating a lively and encouraging atmosphere. Before the program concluded, the candidates for the position of President gave their last speech, proving why they should win the upcoming elections. The program concluded with final messages from Student Activity Coordinator Mr. Ricky E. Alcos and a Closing Prayer, sealing the event as a meaningful celebration of youth leadership and unity. At the end of the day, may this Miting de Avance guide the student body for the upcoming elections.

As the election approaches, let's not forget to "VOTE WISELY," Catsinians! Vote for leaders who are truly deserving and embody the qualities of true leadership.

The First & Second batch of grade 12 students set off to Theotokos Shrine for Recollection Day on February 21-22, 2025.

Grade 12 students from different strands and tracks gathered for a wonderful and spiritual experience upon attending the Recollection together with Rev. Fr. Elvin Lumantas

The Recollection was more than just a gathering; it was a moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Students took the time to look within themselves, cherish past memories, and share their experiences with one another. With open hearts, they embraced the presence of God and the warmth of those around them. It was a day of renewal, healing, and gratitude, reminding us of the beauty of faith, friendship, and self-discovery.
