Lord, Today, the world sits in stillness.
The cross stands bare, and the tomb is sealed.
Your body rests in the silence of the grave,
and we, like the first disciples, wait—
in sorrow, in confusion, in hope.

This quiet day teaches us how to trust
when all seems lost,
how to hope when light is hidden,
and how to believe even in the shadow of death.

Help us, Lord, to remain faithful in the silence,
to hold on to Your promises
even when we cannot yet see the dawn.
May this waiting deepen our trust
and prepare our hearts for the joy of resurrection.
