โ€ŽIt is easy to blame others. But real change starts when we look inward and admit that we are part of the problem.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThis school year began with excitement and promise. Yet one problem continues to grow louder. Waste is everywhere. Overflowing garbage bins, plastic wrappers littering hallways, and rotten food left behind. The smell alone is a reminder that we are failing not just to clean up but to care.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽMoreover, when we fail to care, we quietly damage the world we live in.

โ€ŽThe Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) reports that schools in the Philippines generate tons of solid waste each year. From food scraps and plastics to broken gadgets and paper.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBut here is the danger. When we toss everything into one bin without sorting, we block any chance for recycling or safe disposal.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽLeftover food? It releases methane, a gas worse than carbon dioxide.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽPlastics? They break down into microplastics, which seep into our oceans, and eventually, our bodies.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽElectronics? They leak toxic chemicals into our soil and water.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThese are not distant environmental issues, because they are happening right here, in our school, and in our homes. Every careless toss, every ignored rule, makes it worse.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž๐Ž๐ฐ๐ง ๐ˆ๐ญ
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWe do not need to wait for anyone else to fix this. Change can begin with us.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽUse reusable containers instead of single-use plastics.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽSegregate your waste properly. Know what goes where.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽJoin cleanup drives or even start one with your friends.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽSpeak up. Suggest ideas to your teachers or school leaders.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽIt may seem small, but every consistent action is a seed planted. One step becomes a habit. One voice can start a ripple. One group can inspire a school.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽIf we truly want a cleaner school, we must be the example, not just the complaint.
