At exact 5:30am we started to travel on the way to Pampanga, everyone was buzzing around of excitement.
When we arrived in Lola Corazon, Pampanga at 8:00am, they made us fall in line into 2 lines. We ate breakfast in pavilion, it has 10 tables.
After we had breakfast they group us into 4 and make cheers. (Ask for the first cheer that the instructor teaches us.) Then we went ahead to the first activity. Zip line, rappelling, and wall climbing.
First, we tried the zip line, when I was walking up stairs; my heart starts to beat fast. When I got to the top, in my mind I said “this is the moment. This is my chance to fly”. When the guy pushed me, my eyes got wide open and the air was brushing through my face and look around. When I got to the Second part of the Zip Line the other guy said I look like Pink (singer) and I was like “What? Are you talking about?!” I have no idea where he is getting that, I headed off and see once again the wide farm and the fish pond beneath.
Next was rappelling, the guy was making me stand in the edge, I thought I was going to die, I was already freaking out, then I got tired, I fell like my soul is going to drop. I’m also afraid to lose my hold to the rope; I might fall to the ground.
Last but not the least, wall climbing: I was still tired from rappelling and they put me right ahead. When I was climbing it was like the wall/stones are absorbing my energy and we’re all under the sun. I tried 3 times, I just can’t do it, and it was so hot. Most of us didn’t finish that part, but there are some who are really strong and fast.
After activity, we went to pavilion for lunch, we had pork chop and Sinigang. 2nd set of activity is in the field. 1st is the blind fold (the setup is going to blind fold one of our members and we are going to instruct them where to go using codes. They were like in a ring with balloons and a cardboard numbers, my group was the last who finished it we were screaming on the top of our lungs. Then we played tossing sandbags, we supposed to be throwing small sandbag into the hole. The group 4 was the first group who were able to finish the game; it was not easy though you must be a good shooter if you’re playing that game. We played volleyball like but we’re using a big ball and a large net (which all of us is holding)
Last but not the least, we went to the swimming pool area and there was this large pipe that have little holes and we have to cover it with our fingers and hands and others have to fill it with water. Geez! I got so wet, the water was dropping on us because they are just using their bare hands and a small pipe that have a hole underneath, it was so fun. After all our activities for that day they went swimming.
That evening after we took our dinner, Sir Daryl had devotion about the difference of Praise and Worship. “Give God what is right not what is left”. Praise is thanks giving for blessings and worship is excessive adoration.
After all we had been through that day: Me, Sam, Elay and Ashley were able to go swimming, after that the fun night is not yet over, we chilled at the cafeteria and talk about scary stories. The Place was wide, many trees and the lights were very few.
When we were going back to our room, we split up and I was in a rush to our room because there might show up a half horse and half humans. Yikes!
Day 2- At 6:45 am, we went to the cafeteria with a blanket wrapped around me while drinking hot coffee. I saw Sir Jun dela Cruz walking around and I called him and asked about last night’s topic and we were able to talk about his devotion, after that Kuya Ken called us for exercise, everyone was still on their pajamas and still sleepy, but any minute dancing with the songs like ”Gangnam style”,” Moves like Jagger” got us energized.
After we had our breakfast, everyone already have energy and hype we started the 3rd set of activity. 1st is the instructor told us how to act safely when there is a flood. And were formed a huge circle and do the Jelly Fish, turtle style.
Last activity we did was like in the fish pond, we played where we pull very fast a rope attached to a boat with hand gloves and “salbabida” After all they went swimming and packing up because we’re gonna leave soon.
The foods in Lola Corazon were delicious! Every meal that they serve was amazing, “babalikan at babalikan mo talaga”.
The place was awesome in pavilion the have DJ room, behind pavilion was a basketball court which I also played on and there’s a bridge and a pond. There is a fishing area, a lot of kubo and wide/extensive restrooms.
