Last week, I had a phone call from a friend... Sabi nia,
"𝘼𝙪, 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙖 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙧 — 𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙚 𝙖𝙠𝙤, 𝙩𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙠 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙙, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙩𝙖𝙠 𝙠𝙤 𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙤-𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙤. 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣, 𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙘𝙠. 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙞𝙠𝙤𝙩 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙠𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙘𝙮𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖, 𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖, 𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖… 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨."

Then I asked her:
"Ano ba ung mga 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 na ginagawa mo for the growth of you business — hindi lang yung 'para lang matapos ang to-do list' mo ha?"

Real talk:
Sometimes, we're so busy being present sa lahat ng bagay, pero absent naman tayo sa bigger picture.
Sa marketing. Sa visibility. Sa pag-aayos ng page na matagal nang overdue.

I know, nakaka-frustrate yung ganyan.

Yung alam na alam mo na magaling ka talaga in real life, pero bakit hirap na hirap ka itranslate yun sa 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞.

Kung ikaw ‘to —
Na magaling naman sa ginagawa mo, pero walang makitang proof online…
And gusto ng glow-up, ng pang malakasan na online presence pero di mo alam saan magsisimula...

Maybe it's time to pause —
And work on your business, not just in it.

This is your sign.

Sabi nung kakilala mong galing-galingan.

𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫;
"I've been doing this for years..." (kahit walang resibo)
"Word of mouth lang sapat na.”

But wait.

Yung nagbibigay ba ng advice… buhay ba nila ‘yung gusto mong ma-achieve?
Path ba talaga nila ung gusto mong i-model for yourself?

Kasi kung hindi...

Bakit ka nagpapadala?

Bakit ka sumusunod?

I’ve been there.

Sunod sa strategy ni ganito…
Bili ng course ni ganyan…
Kinig sa advice ng kung sino-sino.
Nood ng ganito, stalk ke ganito.

Pero nung ina-analyze ko, iba naman pala ‘yung lifestyle goal nila sa gusto ko.

Iba yung goal na sine-set ko for my future self.

Gusto ko ng tahimik na business. Work-life balance. Clients na hindi toxic. Income na hindi hype.

Pero ang advice na sinusunod ko?
Galing sa taong nagpe-flex ng hustle 24/7, walang day off, and puro paandar sa social.

No wonder I felt out of place.
No wonder I felt drained kahit parang “productive” ako.

So here's your reminder:
✔️ Be choosy with advice.
✔️ Hanapin ‘yung may results na aligned sa gusto mo.
✔️ Hindi lahat ng 'parang' magaling ay para sayo.

Because advice is only good... if it leads you to a life you actually want.

I hope companies learn from CANVA. If matagal-tagal ka ng user nito I'm sure you'll agree sa mga key points na nakita kong nag-excel ang Canva when it comes to serving its community.

*How they innovate their products and services and make their community know about the innovations (ang lakas! talagang annual event ito)...
*How they listen to their community and make them feel served..
*How they make their community feel na sabay sabay ang growth.

Over the years lagi ako nakakapanood ng live broadcast ng events nila. Kasi every year hindi sila ngfi-fail na iparamdam sa community nila na 'they listen' and they prioritize kung ano ung mgpapagaan sa buhay at trabaho ng bawat isa.

Wala lang naisip ko lang ishare. Guide ko din, and reminder ko when things are awry sa mga businesses na sineservan ko, I can always go back to this post para ipaalala ko kung pano ulit mgsilbi and maging relevant sa target audience namin.

Baka lang maisip natin na panahon na para magtanim ulit ng mga puno sa mga syudad....

The Arroceros Forest Park, situated along Antonio Villegas Street in Ermita, Manila, Philippines, is a riverside urban forest park.Established in 1993, this 2.2-hectare park on the south bank of the Pasig River, near Quezon Bridge, features a secondary growth forest boasting a diverse set of tree varieties. Despite its relatively small size, the park holds significant importance in the city, particularly for providing fresh air to the Lawton area, which sees heavy traffic from commuters coming from neighboring cities. It is also known as the "Manila's last lung," as it stands as the city's sole remaining nature park. Recent report from News 5 showed that the forest recorded to be 5 °C Cooler than the actual heat index of the city!
