NSSDEO wraps up week-long IQA for CY 2025
The Department of Public Works and Highways – Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSSDEO) has successfully concluded its week-long Internal Quality Audit (IQA) for 2025, held from July 28 to August 1, 2025.
The audit was conducted by Auditor Noemi Gela, beginning with an opening meeting on the first day and was followed by a thorough document and process audits across various sections of the office in the succeeding days.
During the exit meeting, Auditor Gela commended the NSSDEO for good practices she observed throughout the audit. Particularly, the active participation of the District Engineer, Assistant District Engineer, Section Chiefs, and all employees in the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS), complete and easily retrievable documentation, properly maintained and retained project folders, regular monthly coordination conducted by the Maintenance Section, and overall support and cooperation from all personnel, contributing to a collaborative audit experience.
District Engineer Atty. Arthur Eric L. Sabong expressed his appreciation to Auditor Gela, stating that the audit provided a valuable opportunity for the office to assess and enhance its processes in line with QMS standards. He also commended the teamwork and dedication displayed by the entire office during the audit and encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence in maintaining and improving the QMS documentation and procedures.
The successful conduct of the Internal Quality Audit 2025 proves the office’s commitment to upholding transparency, efficiency, and quality service in line with the agency’s mission.
