Countryside Development Research Journal The Countryside Development Research Journal (CDRJ) publishes peer-reviewed research annually, covering countryside development in various disciplines.

Special issues are released as needed. The Countryside Development Research Journal (CDRJ) is the official research publication of Samar State University. It is a CHED –JAS Category B accredited. It publishes Original articles, reviews, and commentaries. More specifically, papers focusing on the following:

• engineering, science and technology driven community and regional development
• science

-based development project implementation
• technology impact assessment/evaluation
• socio-economic condition (health, well-being, quality of life,
• sustainability as impact of implemented science-based solutions.
• gender issues involved in scientific inquiries and development
• education, socio-cultural studies related to countryside development
• technology development in support of micro, small and medium enterprises
• engineering and technology solutions to problems in the countryside

Papers submitted underwent double-blind review process. Each manuscript submitted to the CDRJ is reviewed by at least two referees. Referees are selected by the editor based on qualifications and the ability to provide a timely review. The CDRJ is published in annual basis. Special publication within a year may be produced if there will be sufficient materials and contributors. There is an online publication as well as printed form. This page was created to provide avenue to all who has interest on the paper. The page encourages everyone to discuss about the published paper. Through this account, dissemination of published articles in the CDRJ will increase and potential impact is improved.

The Countryside Development Research Journal (CDRJ) congratulates its 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗮-𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗮, on being one of the national winners of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗔). She is the sole recipient from the higher education institutions among the award-winning educators.

SSU's Director for the Center for Lifelong Learning (CeLL), Prof. Marife Mustacisa-Lacaba, received the 2024 Filipina Achievers in Rural Education Award (FLORA) conferred by the Multinational Foundation, Inc. (MFI) in partnership with the TOWNS Foundation, on May 23, 2025 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City.

CALL FOR PAPER!

The Countryside Development Research Journal (CDRJ) publishes peer-reviewed research articles once annually. Special issues may be published when needed. The CDRJ accepts papers on countryside development through science and technology, engineering, health sciences, education and management, languages and communications, gender and development, social sciences, industrial technology and information technology. In 2015, the journal was accredited by the CHED through its JAS program. The articles in CDRJ are indexed in Google Scholar. The management also is applying indexing to other organization.
