𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental, with tremors strongly felt in Catbalogan City. As the quake subsided, residents immediately went outside their homes, praying that no one would be harmed.
In response to the earthquake, the St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan (SMCC) community—composed of Faculty, Staff, Students, and the RVM Sisters—gathered at the School Quadrangle to pray for everyone’s safety and protection. The moment of prayer was led by the School President, S. Ma. Adelaida C. Huiso, RVM, united in faith and hope for everyone’s well-being.

"Holy Mary, Virgin Mother of God, who was conceived without sin, I choose You as Lady and Queen of this abode. I entreat You by Your Immaculate Conception that You will preserve it from plague, sickness, fire, water, lightning and tempest, from earthquakes, robbers, wickedness of rebels, acts of terrorism, schisms, heresy, and sudden death. Bless and protect us, O Holy Virgin, and obtain for us the grace to avoid sin, and to be preserved from all other misfortunes. Amen."
