The said drama will feature the poem ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ by the Catbaloganon poet, Anecito O. Llaneta.
It will also feature the rich fishing heritage and culture among Catbaloganons like the ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐ performed by the fisherfolks during lean seasons.
The drama reintroduces a local folklore popular among the island-settlers of Catbalogan about the mythical sea creature believed to thrive in the underwater kingdom of Catbalogan seas- the ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ฐ (mermaid/man).
The mystical underwater world is dominated by their king, ๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ง, whose power will be challenged by his own daughter, ๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐๐ง๐ - all because of her love for ๐
๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐, a fishing lad - whose love story began in one full moon at the Bay of Maqueda.
Be caught by the captivating dramaturgy of Samar State University's faculty and students at the Catbalogan City Plaza, on August 30, 2025, 7:00PM.
Entrance is free!
