LOOK! | A glimpse of the Behind the Scenes of The Media Arts Society’s (MedAs) "Kahapon," directed by Amithy Pascua and filmed on January 4, 2024. The filming had inconvenience behind the scenes with lack of actors and the script lackings but with the team helping each other, they found a way on bringing a successful new creative series which captured the attention of the audience.

This compelling narrative dives into the life of a student who initially fails to provide his assigned duties, facing disciplinary action from his head. However, as the storyline unfolds, a heartfelt realization dawns upon him, encouraging a changed journey that not only change his individual path but also produce a positive change within the entire division.

"What does it take for someone to question their faith in God?

What if one day; you find yourself -- a considered religious person... someone whose known for their dedication to their beliefs, a person who loves God more than anyone finds himself doubting the man behind those clouds?

What would you do when you cross the bridge between wanting to believe him yet, at the same time -- questions him?

A boy who's doubting his faith and a boy who only knows how to trust his beliefs.

What would happen?

FEB-IBIG NA PALA! 🥰💯

February is the month of love kung saan hindi lang mag jowa ang makikita mo sa daan kundi mga thirdwheeler din! 🫵 This February feel the presence of love with your family, friends or significant others not just that, experience the “ubos na ang pera ko” feel this february.

It's common for us to fail to see the connection between love and grief, but love and loss are closely intertwined. February is the month of love, a time for Valentine's Day and celebrating love. One is not possible without the other. Grief is an inevitable part of love, and you cannot grieve unless you love. We ought to keep this link in mind. Realizing that love is the wellspring of grief will enable us to suffer with greater purpose.

LOOK | The PPAG Media Arts Society places 3rd in the Short Film Competion of ISAW 2024 🎬📸🎥

The Media Arts Society (MEDAS) division under the organization of the Pillarican Performing Arts Guild (PPAG) was ranked as the 3rd best in the Short Film competition hosted by UP KAISA through the annual Isabela Socio-cultural Awareness Week (ISAW) event, awarded this 27th of January 2024 at the Isabela National High School in Ilagan City, Isabela.

Led by the head of the division, Amithy Pascua, together with the Assistant Head, Lorraine Adriatico, they formed a special team from each different sections based on their performances during the Media Information Literacy Fest (MILFF) of the senior high department in Our Lady of the Pillar College Cauayan.

The special team consisted of the following;

Cheerilie Mangubat, Judie Guzon - Actors
Bernadette Garcia - Scriptwriter
Aaliyah De Guzman Salta - Camera Operations and Documentations

On the night of the awarding, “Kankanen” (title of the film) was awared as 3rd best film out of all the film entries in the Short Film making contest while also garnering the following awards;
•Best In Performance/Acting Winner
•Best in Editing Nominee
•Best in Directing Nominee
•Best in Cinematography Nominee

Truly, a wonderful night for everyone that became a part of the filmmaking! Here’s to more MEDAS milestones!

Work Immersion Office Decorum of Grade 12 SHS Pillaricans

The Work Immersion Office Decorum for Grade 12 SHS Pillaricans took place at SM City Cauayan Cinema on January 12, 2023, drawing students from Saint Dominic Savio, Saint Pedro Calungsod, Saint Francisco Marto, Saint Philomena, and Saint Tarcisius. The event emphasized the importance of observing proper decorum and professional behavior during work immersion deployments, with Judge Ma. Anastacia Labog of Cabatuan-Luna, Isabela, serving as the keynote speaker. She shared valuable tips and personal work experiences.
