BRIPAMA | Marcos Jr., Aprubado ang Dagdag-Sahod, Medical Benefits para sa mga Empleyado ng GOCC.

Bilang pagkilala sa malaking ambag ng mga Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), inanunsyo ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang dagdag-sahod at medical allowance para sa kanilang mga empleyado.

Sa pagdiriwang ng GOCCs' Day, hinimok din ni Pangulong Marcos ang mga korporasyong ito na tiyaking ang kanilang record-high dividends, na umabot na sa higit PhP106 bilyon ngayong taon, ay mapupunta sa mga proyektong makakatulong sa mga Pilipino, tulad ng mga paaralan, ospital, at mga programang panlipunan. Binigyang-diin ng Pangulo ang kahalagahan ng GOCCs sa pagpapaunlad ng bansa at pagpapabuti ng serbisyo publiko.

BASAHIN | The Philippine National Police (PNP) has a new chief as its second-highest-ranking officer steps into the role. This development follows the relief of Police General Nicolas Torre from his position.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla confirmed on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, that Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., the Deputy Chief for Administration (TDCA), will permanently assume the PNP leadership.

Nartatez, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Tanglaw-Diwa Class of 1992, belongs to the last group of PMA graduates eligible to become PNP chief.

He was among the top contenders for the PNP chief position back in May, but Torre was ultimately selected. Nartatez is President Marcos' fifth PNP chief and the 32nd top cop since the PNP's establishment in 1991.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed Torre's dismissal on Tuesday, noting that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed the order on Monday.
