Failure. Don’t you just hate it?

“Bat nangyari to sa akin? Bat ako? Bat masakit?”

Hindi tayo tinuruan sa school ng mga importante na mga bagay. Yung mga bagay na makakatulong sa ‘tin to get through life with flying colors.

As much as our family or friends tried to teach us what they knew about these things, it’s still not enough kasi naiiba ang pinagdaanan natin.

How to be wealthy, how to get out of debt, how to give and take, how to create strong lasting relationships, how to be a parent, how to be happy, how to cope with loss and grief, how to love and be loved...

We have failed relationships, failed careers, failed finances, failed expectations, failed dreams.

Nagkakamali tayo and it seems to happen again and again.

We lie awake thinking life would be better if we could take back the bad stuff that hurt and broke us apart.

But failures are life’s way of teaching us lessons; life’s way of molding us to become the best version of ourselves.

Kung paulit-ulit yung pagkakamali mo, it’s because you still haven’t learned from the mistake the first time.

Stop blaming anyone, the situation or yourself because that will get you nowhere. Start looking at what you can do better next time.

Life is going to keep throwing lemons at you until you learn to be a master at making lemonade out of these flying lemons.

A wise friend once told me, “Failure doesn’t mean the end you know. It’s just another milestone in life.”

I didn’t understand it back then but I do now.

I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t keep failing back then.

Today, I have the most understanding and loving partner ever, the best relationship with my family, the most supportive network of friends and leaders, the most fulfilling career I could ever have dreamed of, and the lifestyle I have always wanted.

So don’t be afraid to fail a hundred times (because you will).

And when you do, keep trying a hundred times more (because you can).

Trust me.

Your future self will thank you.
