HANDLING ATTACKS IN THE MINISTRY
When you are walking under the Holy Spirit's fire and anointing, you will be persecuted by many, even the religious people. They have a form of godliness but deny its power. Make no mistake, being persecuted is different than being corrected.
People who are walking in the flesh will most of the time get offended by people who are walking in the Spirit.
But I advise you, don't search the Scriptures to find retaliation against your accusers. If you do that, you will have an embittered ministry. So let God do His thing, and you do yours. As disciples of Christ, we don't do revenge... for that is a fleshly thing! What we do is present our case in God's courtroom, and let Him judge the situation. If you revenge, you sin. Let God do His thing and be stillโ vengeance is HIS! Remember that revenge is ungodly but vengeance is God's thing. Don't put justice in your own hands for God sees everything!
If God called you to be in the ministry, persecutions will just cause the ministry to thrive only if you will respond with wisdom. Let God's Word heal and comfort you until you become immune with persecution. And be filled with the Holy Spirit, then you can take on the next level of ministry. But if you stop to point fingers, you will remain there. If you remain in one level too long, you will grow stagnant and search for other avenues in the ministry. Some have remained in a position of stagnancy for so long that they can't find their way back.
Friend, godly response in the midst of the mockers will take you to the next level of your assignment.
Matthew 5:10-11
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousnessโ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
